Guns N Roses were musically great but Axl is so bad it's stopped being funny, it's just bleak.

Does he come off as bad live as he does on video? I was an Axl defender for years, but it's brutal now, hard to listen too.

Yeah it was laughable. He was out of time too, it was pretty sad

Gojira are my current obsession (along with Architects) so watching them do Mea Culpa was fantastic. I really need to see them live.

Yeah, you do Monkee. Been lucky enough to see Gojira live about 6-7 times. They crush it everytime.

Currently watching Anthrax in Finsbury Park and loving it. Never really given them much of a listen before but I’ll definitely add a couple of albums to my listening list after this. Recommendations of where to start?

Their back catalogue can be a bit hit and miss, but Among The Living is considered to be their masterpiece.

Was incredibly disappointed with the whole Adam Christianson debacle and how they shut down everyone that (validly) asked about it.

Yeah, Among the Living is the starting point. The majority of what they are playing is probably from that record.

Different singer but try We've Come For You All. John Bush is a really different vocalist but it's an awesome album. If you like how he sounds try The Greater Of Two Evils which is them re-recording old Joey-era songs with John on vocals.

Attack Of The Killer As is a good greatest hits compilation.

Spreading the disease, it's a top 5, maybe top 3 thrash album for me.  Medusa is the best song they ever did.

Joey Belladonna has the coolest voice in thrash, I love it. John Bush sux

It's not representative of much of their output, but Safe Home by Anthrax is an absolute nu-metal banger. In that small era when everyone was trying to sound like Halo by Soil.
