First Rumble I've watched in a while and I enjoyed it. Felt like a Rumble of old, as there were some storylines being set up over the course of the matches as well. I really got into the confrontation between Roman and Jacob Fatu, and Bron Breakker is presented as rather special.

Jey Vs Gunther could be very interesting if that's the way they decide to go with it. Time will tell, I guess.

I dunno, it hasn't been very interesting the last two times they have faced. 

It won't happen, but I would like to see Uso go after Cody. Just think the Rumble winner should go after the main belt and unless there is a ridiculous once in a life time match happening, be the last match of the entire show not just the first night.

Didn't watch the women's rumble or the tag match because I don't have time for that, I did enjoy the ladder match though. The end spot looked brutal.

Mens Rumble was decent for the most part, most annoying thing being the long entrance though, by time some got in the ring the countdown was on for the next entrant, quite a few stare down/moments not given the time they should have been.

Have to agree with Transvision here - there have been plenty of occurrences in real sports where a player/team has exploited a technicality to get an advantage.

First thing that comes to mind is a keeper catching a football, and George Best heading it out of his hands to then score a goal. Because of that and similar examples (I think), they changed the rules so that the moment a keeper gets both hands on the ball, it's "his".

Or MMA fighters previously circumventing the "Three Points of Contact" rule on grounded fighters by lifting the opponent's hand off the canvas, to leave said opponent with only two points, to allow them to deliver strikes from standing. That's now been banned.

In your very post lies your own undoing, BombCar. People have been doing this in the Rumble for decades. It was cool the first time Kofi did some of it, but then they got to the point of him literally walking across pancakes to get back to the ring, and they'd reached the absurd end.  A real sport would have gone "well that's obviously not allowed" and banned it by now.

Nattie hit a new peak of mediocrity in the Rumble, doing a tilt-a-whirl headscissors but ending up more like a mid-air shove towards the ropes. Go back and watch it, it was SO crap. Who thought that was a good spot?

The best count to do this year, especially during the Women's rumble, was how many kip ups there was. I think I stopped count at about 5 just in the WR but there was definitely some in the Men's too.

Yeh, I suppose. My point was more to address the initial notion of exploiting loopholes, but if they don't close them up and actually allow for ridiculous situations like that (which I didn't know about, in my defence, but bloody hell), then there's only so long the comparison holds up for.

This one really annoyed me, because the argument was "well he's walking on pancakes so his feet didn't touch the floor". But by that logic you could just strap fucking pancakes to the bottom of your shoes and by their logic you could never be eliminated from the Royal Rumble.

By this logic anyone wearing any kind of footwear can’t be eliminated as their feet haven’t touched the floor.

Who was the last person to go barefoot in the Rumble? Matt Riddle? No-one’s been eliminated since 2022

I watched rumble via torrent and there seemed to be dead air/silence from commentary for a few seconds after each wrestlers music hit and entrance began. Was it like this on the Netflix version too?
