It would be extremely nice for Sting to be the one to induct Lex and hopefully something could be worked out there for that to happen if there is any red tape.

Absolutely this. Even if Sting is still under contract to AEW (which I’m fairly sure he is),  I would imagine he has enough stroke to just go tell Tony that he’s doing it rather than asking for permission

Well deserved for John Tenta and also to Fred Ottman who should go in purely on not being swallowed up by a black hole of embarrassment after The Shockmaster incident.

Nailed on he recreates that at the ceremony.

Yeah it’s gotta be Sting inducting Lex. If that can’t happen for stupid reasons then DDP but it should be the Stinger. So glad Lex is finally going in though. Was starting to think he was gonna be one of those ones where he goes in years after he’s no longer with us.

Chuffed for Lex. Glad people are coming around to him and realising how much of an impact he made on the business. A well deserved induction. Here's hoping Sting can be worked out as his inductor.

Also, isn't it funny how times change? Twenty-odd years ago they were playing his 911 call and basically blaming him for Miss Elizabeth's death on WWE TV.

Great for Lex. Always thought he deserved to win the title in his first run in JCP/WCW - in other words there were several times when he could have been considered hot enough to beat Flair for the NWA title, which he'd have deserved, rather than lifting the somewhat embryonic WCW title by beating Barry Windham when Herd couldn't be bothered getting Flair to even come to work to lose to Lex (which Ric was perfectly willing to do). There's a paradox there, in that Barry himself DID end up winning the NWA title eventually two years later but when he did, perception had already shifted so that the title Sting and Vader had been feuding over was the title.

Of course, Lex did eventually get his 5 days in the sun, walloping Hogan at the Palace in Auburn Hills, excising the demon of SummerSlam 93 in the same building, and being more over than most wrestlers ever get to be. I'll never forget watching that on tape when I got home that Friday night, thinking "This isn't real! Hogan's defending the title tomorrow night on the PPV, isn't he? Surely he's not losing the belt until he fights Sting?? They're screwing Lex over here aren't they?? AREN'T THEY??? The ring's filling up of his mates... FUCK, Lex Luger has actually won the belt!!" Or similar.

For old time's sake, Lex should turn on Sting when he's inducted.

Shame the Rack is out of the question.

Made me chuckle very recently however, WWE listed "Ric Flair betrays Sting" amongst its top 30 heel turns. Umm... which time?

Always worth checking out 1996 pre-nWo Nitro for some fantastic work from Lex Luger. His aloof, big preening dickhead who Sting tolerates because he's a mate is great work. It's even better when you add in the delightful layer that Luger doesn't seem to ever hint at turning on Sting, because Sting was the only one actually sticking up for him when he returned. Delighted he's going in, his body of work is actually enjoyable when he was really motivated or working with really special talent. A real victim of the newsletter pervs.

The one they went with was the tag match against Arn and Pillman where Naitch is in suit pants and clocks Sting after getting the hot tag

Jesus the Michelle McCool induction is nothing short of disgraceful isn't it? I loved LayCool back in the day, but she only had a couple of year run in the business and that's it. I'm too lazy to Google other worthy female inductees what aren't in yet but jay'z smacks of nepotism.

It's the WWE Hall of Fame and they have a one-woman-per-year quota to fill, so it's hardly surprising. Plus she's The Undertaker's wife, so it was kind of inevitable.

In saying that, there are plenty of women who deserve the nod ahead of her. Mickie James, Victoria and Melina come to mind immediately. I'd also argue Sable, considering what a massive star she was during the Attitude Era, but that's never going to happen for a variety of reasons.

I was expecting Meiko Satomura to be announced at some point, she’s been visiting the Headquarters over the last week and I think she’s signed some sort of Merch deal, probably one for a future HOF though.
