for Japanese names, I think it would have to be someone who at least worked for the WWF or WCW - otherwise I'd suggest Fujiwara. They're not likely to induct anyone they don't have footage of, or someone closely associated with NJPW while NJPW are working so closely with AEW.

EDIT. Ignore that, it's bollocks, I was thinking of Fujinami in 2015.

You were technically right, since Mr Fuji (real name Harry Fujiwara) was inducted in 2007!

I will agree with whoever said that any Japanese talent who goes in will likely had to have worked with WWE, WCW or ECW in the past, or else done stuff in the territories that they own the footage to.

Even with their current working agreement with NOAH, I cannot see WWE inducting someone like Kenta Kobashi into their Hall of Fame.

Another outside bet for either this year or the next couple is Konnan. Seems more likely than ever since he inducted Rey Mysterio a couple of years ago, was a star for WCW, had a headline run in Mexico etc.

Ha, yes which is how I made the cock up, because I did a very slapdash search!

Fuck it, stick Dump and The Crush Gals in. They did some house shows and got the Vault treatment. I pretend not to care about the Hall of Fame but that would pop me immensely.

Also, as I say every year, time for Lex to get his moment.

Bleh. She was shit. Even less deserving than the Bellas of the weird amount of plaudits she gets. The whole reason the NXT girls coming through was called a "revolution" was because they were decent and the era where Michelle and her peers were on top, was shockingly shit.

She was shite.

The thing I remember most about her was just how unbelievably not over she was despite getting pretty strongly pushed. Or at least as strongly pushed as the women could get back then.

It was a dreadful era for Womens wrestling generally and that wasn't her fault of course but you'd still get women who would get reactions like Mickie James and Beth Phoenix etc. Michelle McCool would come out to silence every week.

Layla was much more over than she was.

I know everyone goes in eventually etc, but Michelle Mccool is so shit. Do we think if she wasn't with The Undertaker that she'd still get in?

Also, not completely sure on the timeline of her initial run, but was she pushed as strongly before getting with Undertaker?

I was barely watching any wrestling for much of the time she was around but whenever I've ever seen any clips of her it really is notable that nobody gave the slightest fuck about her.
