The King of Old School Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 The worst part of the hall of fame is the audience laughing at things that aren't funny. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted April 19, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 19, 2025 I’d probably rate the crowd clapping the mention of Vince and Hunter saying, “I love you,” to the sex trafficker as the worst part, personally. What a Wrestlemania weekend. Immaculate vibes. Quote
Chili Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 That big bust they made for the Bret/Austin match was absolutely hilariously stupid to look at. Cannot wait for Bret to absolutely rip the piss out of that when he gets asked about it. Quote

One of those things that you thought wouldn't need spelling out on here, but it turns out you really did after recent posts ☹️ Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted April 19, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 19, 2025 (edited) I'm not sitting through the full thing, but the acceptance speeches from both Lex and Uncle Fred were really heartwarming. Quake's son spoke beautifully too. Edited April 19, 2025 by Arch Stanton Typo Quote

Particularly American award ceremonies. And ramp that up even more for American Wrestling award ceremonies. I know revenue and all, but I liked these a bit more when they held them in a ballroom or something a bit more intimate. Whacking these in an arena with a massive titantron in front of smelly neckbeards in tshirts doesn’t scream the pinnacle of your craft. I never know how to read Bret sometimes, wasn’t sure if he was loving or hating every minute of the induction. Austin was so bombastic and reeling them off in comparison to Bret’s measured style. Got a kick of Luger coming our to his Made in the USA theme. I haven’t heard that in years (could have done without the god shit, mind). Edited April 19, 2025 by garynysmon Quote
Chili Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 I mean it peaked in 2004 and went slowly downhill from then on bar a few exceptions. Quote
IronSheik Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 The McCool acceptance speech was hard to watch. Just didn't land. Crowd seemed to shit on it too. Quote

Shirtie Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 I didn't watch all of it, I skipped the Michelle Mcool part and the inevitable Vince "I'm a sex pest and horrible person" McMahon love fest... Enjoyed most of it. Unfortunately One of Triple H's daughters has inherited his nose. Quote

davertfnewman Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 Watched it for Lex, the Tentas, Tugboat and Bret and Austin. Just under half an hour of a show almost ten times that. Quote
LEGIT Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 (edited) Just watching bits of this now. Really liked Natural Disasters indication, had a lump in my throat. Like Arch said, Earthquake's kids paid a lovely tribute to the man he was, and it was pretty heavy seeing Typhoon up there teary eyed. Also great to see Bret given more plaudits, always deserved. Love Bret Edited April 19, 2025 by LEGIT Quote
