It's f'cking awesome. One of my favourite moments was the Hart Foundation doing their pre-match interview at Summerslam 90 whilst Demo's theme is playing in the background. As it hits that awesome guitar outro, Bret goes into his 'as Phil Collins says, it's two hearts beating as one' - a very uncool line, made ice cool by the theme song playing in the background.

Summerslam '90 is a pretty interesting show for the amount of times they let the music run long while they go backstage for the promo of the guy about to come out. Happens in the Demo match, Perfect, Rhodes, Earthquake, possibly some others. You can also hear a lot of director calls in the background too.

To me, the best version is Dusty coming out pissed off and not up for bullshit, straight away taking the vest off, then staring over the ropes towards the entrance after Macho has done his Benjamin Franklin spiel. Music is at that late "He's a dream, he's a dream, he's a dream... American Dream!" bit while the Fink does his always awesome announcement of Big Dust, before Vince spoils it all with "The bull of the Pampas!", which is for Pampero Firpo (The Wild Bull of the Pampas), instead of "The Bull of the Woods!".

"In sad news, it has been reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that actress Julia Reilly, who played TNA’s Claire Lynch on six episodes of Impact, has tragically died. Apparently, the much-maligned performer actually passed away in April, and as of writing, no cause of death is publicly known, although it’s believed she died of natural causes, having been found deceased in her Orlando home.

For those who weren’t watching TNA in 2012, Reilly was brought into the company to play the role of a drug addict supposedly impregnated by AJ Styles. However, the twist is that she was faking, and Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian were trying to ruin Styles’ family man reputation. Still, the angle was hated by fans, and after Reilly’s identity began being shared online, she would quit the company due to fearing that being involved in pro wrestling would hinder her long-term acting aspirations."

What a tragically young age to pass away. I know it's stretching on-topic RIP but meh, that's extremely sad to see. Seemed she had a steady career as a jobbing actor and presenter so that seems alright.

That is very sad, she can't have been very old at all.

I'm not sure how I ended up seeing that angle because TNA had very much had their last chance from me a couple of years earlier but I did see it. It was horrific stuff. The girl wasn't a great actress but fundamentally, it was just horrible pro-wrestling. It could have been Meryl Streep playing "Claire Lynch" and it would still have been some random woman your audience has never seen before accusing someone of something that has absolutely nothing to do with pro-wrestling and taking a bloody long time to do it on a pretty dreadful show. A real horror show of an angle from the brain of someone who obviously thought they were too clever for this wrestling lark. Poor old "Claire Lynch" took the brunt of it, with people digging her out for grafting a living. Low rent crap.

I remember AJ Styles cutting a really nasty promo after they ditched the angle where he basically called her ugly. Apparently they didn't get along behind the scenes and Styles took his chance to get some personal digs in. Even watching it without knowing the real life animosity I thought it was an unpleasant promo for a babyface to cut and felt uncomfortable watching it.

If I recall correctly she played Olive Oyl at the Universal Studios theme park where TNA filmed which is how they found her.

AJ Styles is a nasty little prick, isn't he.

"The world is a sphere" is still the greatest line that Daniel Bryan has ever uttered.

One of a handful of female trailblazers for the UK scene Carole "Rusty Blair" Taylor has passed away.

I do not know if she was the first Scottish women's wrestler but she was certainly the only one in the 1970's and 80s and was one of four women to be the first to main event the Royal Albert Hall in London in 1987 after the city lifted its ban on women competing in the city.

I believe she is the first/only woman in the Scottish Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Just 67 years of age. Very sad news.

RIP.

That’s sad to hear. He can’t have been that old. Met Mick when I did a short stint recording part of a Real Deal Wrestling tour on the East coast back in 2007-ish, and then a couple of years later when he randomly turned up at a show here in the North East for a hardcore match battering some poor chap with a kendo stick.

This one really got me I got to work with Mick Romeo so many times in RDW years ago when I was working there shows regularly.

He could be temperamental in one match he knocked me out three times two were kicks to the back that he didn't pull.... but he took me under his wing and I loved working with him either against or teaming with him so sad.

World of Sport star Eddie 'Kung Fu' Hamill has passed away at 81. Was said to have been a lovely man who treated rookies very well, which wasn't exactly common practice at the time.

Haven't seen too many of his matches, but I remember catching a few on The Wrestling Channel back in the day and remember thinking he was a bit ahead of his time with the pacing and moves he used.

RIP.
