Nope, it came up on my Facebook feed from one of the wrestling pages I follow.

 

Frankly I've never heard of the chap but looking at his Wiki page he seemed reasonably well known and sad to see someone so young passing

Jax Dane was the one who dropped the title to Tim Storm. He passed from Cancer and was only in his mid to late 40s if memory serves. No age to go. Cancer is horrible.

The statement from the NWA said it was from complications after a heart attack in November.

I only know him through mentions by Bret Hart and Edge and assume he had quite the life and career, but Sweet Daddy Siki is an absolutely FANTASTIC name.

That is a fantastic obituary I didn't know lots about Sweet Daddy Siki but I do now.

French wrestler Gilbert Cesca, aged 93.

Wrestled in the UK in the '60s, including at the Royal Albert Hall, and a phenomenal wrestler. One of a group of French wrestlers who had footage show up online in the last few years that really highlights how the French scene was utterly unique, a missing link between what we might think of as "European" (though mostly British) wrestling and early Lucha Libre, every match full of stuff you have never seen before. If young wrestlers were smarter than they are, they would be stealing everyrhing from those videos.

Black Bart has passed away aged 76. I know his death was reported a few weeks ago, but it turned out he was just in a critical situation with his aggresive cancer.

Veteran of 50 years, he worked in WWF, WCW, WCCW, Japan and loads of indies.

Being picked up by most big media channels, but mainly running with a 'American health care is shite' narrative as apparently his insurance stopped paying out for his treatment
