Paid Members Chris B Posted November 6, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2023 Stretching the definition of 'celebrity' straight away, but Dominic Cummings referencing WWE and kayfabe was one of those weird things when you remember that some famous/infamous people are big wrestling fans. I am also entertained that there's a non-zero chance that Cummings has been on this board and is aware of the 'All Tories Are Cunts' thread. But... what other famous people are wrestling fans? I can't find it, but I remember Alan Moore mentioning watching Wrestlemania at least once in an interview.
Merzbow
Kev Webster, a ukff fav. There's been a whole bunch that went to PWG shows haven't there? It seems like for such a small cult company they'd get big names buying tickets.
Paid Members Chris B Posted November 6, 2023 Author Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2023 I think that was actually taken when Finn visited the Coronation St set, rather than him being a fan.

Paid Members Supremo Posted November 6, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2023 Amy Winehouse being a Figure Four Weekly subscriber will always be the maddest one. RedRooster
Gillian Jacobs of Community/Love/Invincible fame was a PWG fan, and specifically spoke about how much she enjoyed El Generico, Kevin Steen and (ugh) Chris Hero back before they joined NXT. Paid Members LaGoosh Posted November 6, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2023 Werner Herzog mentioned Wrestlemania as a key part of the American experience. Frank Sabotka from The Wire is a huge fan.
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted November 6, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2023 Ed Gamble mentions quite a bit on Off Menu that he's been to a show or is wearing a T-Shirt. I think he's done some training too.

SuperBacon
The lads. Westside Gunn, rapper from the group Griselda, is a MASSIVE fan of wrestling. He doesn't have many songs or albums where it's not referenced heavily. He even has an EP with Conway called Hall & Nash. I'm sure I read that Demi Lovato is a huge fan as well.
