Jonny Vegas Posted September 19, 2022 Share Posted September 19, 2022 (edited) I saw a tweet from the New York Times which was highlighting/questioning why the british tax payer was footing the bill for everything to do with the funeral particularly in the midst of soaring energy prices and inflation. The top reply was a verified account where the user had then compared her death and its impact on the nation to 9/11 and suggested american's somehow owed british people a similar level of sorrow and grief. I don't think I've ever seen something which better exemplifies my perceived lunacy of royalists.
