AEW Dynamite Thread 2022

I think the only place Cody Vs Sammy was going was Cody dropping the TNT title back at Battle Of The Belts so they could have a title change on their big special.  I guess we'll find out when they have the unification match.

Dropping some wisdom there Keith?

It’s like if WWE brought The Rock back to build a feud between Miz and Alex Ryder back in the day, or something.

The Miz vs School boy spy Alex Ryder has money written all over it.

Keith has learned that it's better to carefully place wisdom down rather than drop it in case it gets damaged.

This is strange. People are getting very excited, but I presume it means he doesn’t have a performers contract but is an employee of the company as an EVP or whatever…??

Who are AEWs parent company? His contract may be with them.

[Infinity Land]

Forget everything else that makes this clickbait. Cody was reported to be on a 5 year contract when originally signing, which was later made clear to be a 3+2 with the company having the option to renew. If the renewal hasn't rolled over so he's "out of contract" it's probably because they're negotiating improved terms.

More importantly.

I imagine he still might make appearances, but ALL dates would suggest that million dollar Librarian contract is no more.

[The King Of Swing]

Wingmen/Pretty Picture have been appearing less and less which is a shame since they've been a fun little group imo.

I can see a lot of the lower card quietly being let go.

[Infinity Land]

From the Librarian through to the Wingmen they probably got more out of him than anyone could have expected. He was on the Orlando Dark tapings at the weekend. I could see him still make appearances there, and maybe when they do their West Coast tours as the local JTTS.

Yeah I think Pretty Peter will be the first of many. I think those that pull double duty maybe safe depending on their role (This where wrestlers also have backstage roles as well obviously). I don’t think it’s a bad thing, the roster now is huge and it will free up some space.

His feud with Brandon Cutler was enormously fun and I enjoyed a lot of their matches together. The blow-off was great fun and their post-heel-Cutler interaction on BTE was hilarious.

[Infinity Land]

According to Cagematch he was on Dynamite twice in 2021, once in 2020, and twice in 2019. It's not so much saving space on shows. It's more saving on plane tickets.
