I honestly don’t know, but I think it’s undeniable that the limitations of his character became clear in 2021. While most of the main characters in AEW have gone on a journey and developed, Cassidy has become fairly stagnant. AEW has shown time and time again that most of its wrestlers are just one good angle or match away from a hot streak, and that could of course happen with Cassidy. Honestly I'd just have him start appearing subtly in the background doing his evil pose until he starts trying to join Dark Order, or harass the Ass Boys constantly. As long as the character has its own rules that work or are accepted in AEW like everyone leaning into Cassidy's schtick he'll be fine.
