Basic concept is a guy tries to spend as long as possible "living" somewhere without permission (hotel/gym/McDonalds/bushes in a roundabout) until he gets thrown out, doing some silly challenges along the way. You'd think it would either be utterly fake or stupidly false dramatic, but the spoiler is that he never actually gets chucked out because it turns out if you're friendly to people and don't cause them any trouble, mostly they'll be friendly back and not cause you any trouble.

They generally wind up more silly than anything, though there is a very sweet/sad thread if you start from the newer ones as there's one where he's strangely enthusiastic about a random countryside Premier Inn and it turns out his parents got married there, and as you go back through the archive there's a video where he talks about his dad having just died, and then in the earlier ones his dad regularly turns up to help (or rather his mum gives some practical help and dad makes dad jokes.)

Thanks for sharing this - I really enjoyed seeing a fair few of his videos and the bit in the service station video that you mentioned later in your post was really touching in a way I hadn't expected. I like that it sort of tickles that weird part of your brain that goes 'what if I just went off up there?'
