Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 5 Paid Members Posted February 5 James Acaster with Seth Meyers is always great, but even more so this time. Quote
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted February 5 Moderators Posted February 5 That's brilliant. I think my favourite thing was no-one in the audience knowing what Dishoom is. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted February 6 Members Posted February 6 Chaotic even by his standards. Meyers often has great guests and I like him as well. Anyone know where Acaster is doing a Q&A? Quote

Banocref Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Hello all. I made a fan edit of the Saw films, adding audio from Carry On films, just to amuse myself. Some friends have enjoyed it, even without knowledge of one of the franchises. Here's an example and there's more on my channel. Please share it if you know anyone who might enjoy it. I'd like it to find its quite niche audience of those who are big fans of both franchises. Cheers. Carry On Sawing - Reverse Bear Trap Scenes Quote
Merzbow Posted March 11 Posted March 11 This has started to do the rounds years after it came out and I'm so glad it has, genuinely hilarious and far too real.. 2000's Japanophile culture realluy was this awkward and cringey. Quote
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted March 18 Paid Members Posted March 18 If you want a good laugh this morning, watch this. I presume he thinks he's making serious car content (and the content is interesting) but he's absolute Partridge throughout. At one point he says "Fingers bloody crossed" with no irony. Also pulls in to a garage "that bin's getting a bloody good clean". It's hilarious. Quote
Glenryck Pilchards Posted April 2 Posted April 2 I am terrible at shilling my own stuff, and I have hardly posted anything on here, as it is 99% poker content. However, I have just had the craziest week in my life. Last year, I worked as a journalist at The Irish Open, posting live updates of the tournaments and interviewing the winners. I fully expected to be invited back this year for the same gig and blocked time out so I would be available, but I was told they had cut their media budget and I had been dropped. I was crestfallen as last year was the most fun I had in any role I had previously, but I decided "fuck it" and went over to Dublin to play a few tournaments and to try and grow my social media channels. In the first tournament I played I was eliminated on the 'bubble', which means I was the last person to be eliminated before the prize money kicked in. In my second tournament this happened: I won the 8-game Mix tournament to win €10,650, the biggest win of my poker career. 8-game is essentially the poker equivalent of a decathlon in athletics, playing 8 different variants of poker. The Irish Open is the biggest festival outside of the USA, so it effectively makes me the European Champion [D-Lo Brown Neck Thing]. Winning that tournament is huge for me, it has eased so many burdens, and it has allowed me to focus on growing my YouTube channel, BAD Poker Podcast, for the rest of my trip. A unique opportunity came up for me yesterday, when another content creator called BigLi was giving away seat to the Main Event, which is worth €1,150. All I had to do was find him in Dublin city centre first to capture the prize. There were a few people on the hunt, including TalkSport presenter and YouTuber Rory Jennings. This is how it played out: And before anyone asks, yes I cannot do a Liam Neeson impression, so I just plumped for The Undertaker voice... Quote
DavidB6937 Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Amazing @Glenryck Pilchards - congrats! I'm knackered just watching that. Quote
Merzbow Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Someday someone is going to make entire video essays about things that have happened on this forum but in the meantime here's a very "shitting wrong" (or not shitting at all) video about another forums thread. Quote

With Carry On Sawing I tried to keep it to the original story in places and took it in sillier directions with other scenes. With this one, it's not intended to adhere to the story, just some of my favourite scenes/moments with added Sid. I restricted myself to only using audio from Carry On Henry, which gave me an explosion, but no gun sounds. I used Patsy Rowlands bouncing on a toilet seat for a gun in Carry On Sawing, Carry On Sawing - Hoffman is Rumbled, and considered horse hooves for this. Thinking Sid would be laughing while shooting, I found it worked just using laughs for guns. The mini-gun, rifles and shotgun are intentionally different. Quote
