I don’t know if it was announced on NXT last week, I don’t watch. But this caught me by surprise. Two things distracted me in that video*. 1- Looks like Aubrey Plaza’s college drop out wild sister 2- Her arms and her line delivery. It was like an alien pretending to be a human, pretending to be an actor, pretending to be a wrestler and getting it all wrong. *grow up. Quote

Her delivery was always horrendous, but there’s something very Liz Truss about her delivery here which is a new thing. It’s absolutely wild that she’s 54 though, she looks sensational. Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted November 4, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 4, 2024 I see Jordynne Grace is on the show. Isn’t Tommy Dreamer in TNA as well? I bet he’s angling to be on that card. NXT must be the only thing he hasn’t done. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted November 6, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 6, 2024 Me telling my Grandkids that the boom and momentum of 2024 was so powerful that they could release videos on Twitter that made me excited for shows headlined by Bully Ray. This rules! Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted November 6, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 6, 2024 I can't think of two things in wrestling more diametrically opposed than ECW and NXT. Seeing them put together gives me the fucking ick big time. Quote
Chili Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Just remembering TNA doing this FOURTEEN YEARS AGO! Quote

Chili Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 (edited) So mad processing NXT running an ECW themed show a decade after TNA did one and various failed, stupid Shane Douglas attempts all to lock-up some women under contact to not speak about their former monster of a boss to try and wash the scum off their image. d-d-d-dAz Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 The show was absolutely rubbish, too. If this is the future of WWE, fucking hell. That opening hardcore match was a disaster. That spot where Lola Vice took 7 minutes trying to get a table from under the ring whilst she waited for Jaida to get into position was one of the most embarrassing things I've seen in a while. None of the presentation of Lola Vice (first time seeing her in wrestling) made any sense, and I laughed when she seemed to shout IM A LATINA before a move. Jaida Parker was marginally more impressive, but still really shit. Fun use of RVD given he's clearly under a 'no contact' order from someone. The match between Wes Lee and the bouncy one is my idea of wrestling hell. Lots of bouncy stuff that didn't really work; hurricanrana's where there's no reason for anyone to take a bump, that sort of thing. The finish was awful too, not because it was another athletic feat that didn't really work but because the not-Booker commentator kept trying to get in a rehearsed line over Bookers more emotive commentary, and just before the splash hit the last thing you hear is him whining CAN YOU LET ME FINISH MY LINE? Shite. Booker should do more shutting up, but in that moment I'm more interested in hearing a commentator in awe of the moment, rather than some plonker trying to get a line in. Also, if your finish is going to be a splash across the ring at least go to a wide shot. Seriously, first NXT in a while and hated the whole thing. Bad acting, bad wrestlers, bad matches. Fucking Nunzio was the best wrestler on the show, and the best bit of work on the show was Bubba realising the crowd were completely dead after the finish and adding in little tricks like a 3 count to 'get the tables' and forcibly starting a chant himself. But, seriously Trick? There's no table? I'm fairly sure the one Lola Vice spent 7 minutes trying to get out from that exact part of the ring was still down there. Zero stars. Quote
