I'm assuming it won't be too long before WWE ID wrestlers working the indies can only work people that WWE approve of or won't be allowed to job to non-WWE ID wrestlers.

Basically give it about 4-5 years and see what a shit show it all looks like before it gets disbanded and something similar gets set-up about 2 years after.

If the PC is so great why are they using a bunch of indies?

Either they secretly think the PC isn't working but don't want to admit it or they want to gut the indie scene (like NXT UK did over here) and remove a source of new talent from AEW.

Either way this will be bad for the US indies I'm sure. Always is whenever WWE turn up.

It tells you as much about the effectiveness of the Performance Centre as feeder clubs to football teams tell you about their training system. But the fact the vast majority of the WWE roster - including almost all of the female roster - has been involved with the performance centre in some form suggests to me they’ll be pretty happy with its output.

Personally, I think it’s a smart decision. It’s an additional pipeline for talent that benefits the schools, the company and, you would hope, wrestlers - some of whom presumably would not make the cut when it comes to the highly selective signing system at the Performance Centre; where they target elite athletes.

As far as AEW is concerned, it’s a tiny number of schools at the moment so it’s unlikely to impact them in any way; but I do hope it pushes Tony Khan to do better when it comes to developing original AEW talent - perhaps even forming partnerships with indie companies, creating more opportunities for wrestlers to earn big money in a major company.

Halloween Havoc was a great little show. I don’t watch NXT regularly, but these specials are always loads of fun. The time flies.

Crazy risks though. I was reminded of that story about only a few people knowing the full recipe for KFC, and them not being allowed to travel together for security reasons. I couldn’t believe they allowed Booker T and Bubba Ray to exist in the same place at the same time. What if there had been a terrorist attack or something? Who would have kept pro-wrestling online discourse alive with the stupidest takes imaginable?

Big shout out to Bubba Ray forgetting the name of Zaria.

”And how about the appearance of….uh uh….out of nowhere….ummm…tell us who it was…?”

Empty-headed, slack-jawed, Alex-Jones-looking moron.

Ambulance match made me laugh. The most WWE match ever. The commentators banging on about, “someone is going straight to the hospital,” suggesting it’s gonna be some wild, bloody brawl, with a clear, definitive winner. But then it’s the same usual technicality gimmick match, where guys are just scrambling to close the door on the other. What happened afterwards? Andre Chase didn’t seem like he needed to go to the hospital. Was it in his contract that he had to go regardless?

Oba Femi remains the most exciting prospect in that whole system. It’s a good thing I don’t run the gaff because he’d already be challenging Cody or Gunther. Man absolutely reeks of money. Make him the new Goldberg. Give him a streak that lasts at least a decade. Have him throwing Bronson Reed all over the shop.

Hell of a take, this. Twoster put it well, but they serve different purposes. Why wouldn't they create multiple development avenues? Doesn't sound particularly different to feeder schools/promotions system they've utilised and associated with loads in the past. Doesn't sound so much like the UK indy scene situation to me at this stage. These are places they're already associated with and basically been doing this already. Now it's just official there's a link and good in to WWE if that's your goal.  PC is more an invite only or attend and pass a camp situation. Invites for athletes they've scouted with no wrestling background they see potential in or indy wrestlers who've made a name for themselves to make sure they're happy they're ready for their product. This feels more like just making the associated places appealing to aspiring wrestlers and those starting out as a fast track to WWE, getting noticed and on their radar.

They've a history of money making stars being established that have come from no indy wrestling background straight into their system, as well as indy wrestlers making their own name and transitioning well into WWE. New talent is always needed, wise to get eyes on and access to potential as early as possible from different backgrounds and sources.

That women's division is crazy stacked. Wonder if a few of them might move up fairly quickly. But they're doing a good job of building them all up. The future is looking more positive than it has in ages.

I'm actually enjoying the shows all over. They're just a fun watch.

Sticks and stones may break your bones.

But the NXT Parking Lot is the most dangerous place on Earth!

Fucking hell! Did they borrow the Wyatt Six’s gun and shoot her? Are they writing her out until The Rumble?!
