I genuinely think a ‘Domhausen’ pairing between the two will end up happening, leading to Mysterio’s face turn.

Dominik Mysterio is the most frustrating waste of a character in the company - he managed to become the most over heel they have, yet they refuse to elevate him above a certain level. I suspect he’s been Chelsea Greened, and as with her it’s such a waste. Is Drew McIntyre/Randy Orton at Wrestlemania more exciting than Cody/Dom for the title, or even Dom/Orton? I wouldn’t say so.

He's been Intercontinental Champion and heavily featured on TV consistently for a couple of years, that's a great level for him. He's still a fairly limited worker in the ring and his physique makes him a really tough sell as a main event guy. Not everyone has to be pushed into the main event just because they have absolutely nailed their midcard act. Dom is brilliant just where he is right now. He's got years ahead of him to ascend when the time's right.

Similarly with Chelsea, she's one of the most featured women on the roster, on TV every single week, even when she's injured. They put her out there for all the promotional work, they know she's a star. She's not being held back just because she's not the world champion. Her character works much better outside of the main event scene.

I'm guessing that Punk didn't call Roman "Joe" because they don't want a Samoan called Joe on their TV, because Punk would normally use the real name of anyone who calls him Phil.

Dominik Mysterio shouldn't be mixing with ding dongs like Danhausen. Losing to Penta is fair enough but Dom doesn't need to be saddled with spooky bollocks, that's what your JD's of this world are for.

Stop being so negative!

I actually enjoyed the show overall.

A nice change of pace for the opening segment I felt. A lot happened with Seth attacking Heyman, LA Knight commandeering the ambulance and Jimmy attacking Theory.

Logan Paul is a brilliant heel. Absolutely nothing likeable about the guy at all and if anybody can make me cheer Seth Rollins it's him.

Danhausen "cursing" a heel, the heel laughing at him, the heel then losing and starting to think maybe he is cursed is exactly how they should use Danhausen and if anybody can make "being cursed" work it's Teflon Dom.

Rayo and Bravo Americano are brilliant foils for El Grande (who is insanely over in AAA). Blanco's little dance and kicking the steps in frustration, only to hurt his own foot are great little comedy spots. A mask v mask match, in Mexico, needs to take place between the two Americano's. Heat for that will be incredible.

J'Evon Evans is just so damn likeable isn't he?

Rusev v Oba is hopefully going to be two big meatheads pummelling each other and I am here for it.

Rhea comes across so condescending at times that I honestly thought she was going to turn heel on Iyo during that segment. On paper, her and Jade should be good but, yeah, if the heat is real then we might get another clunky Charlotte v Tiffany affair so we shall see.

Enjoyed the closing segment too. Punk angering Reigns must surely be leading to a big beatdown angle at some point.

Am interested to see what they do with some of the big players like Cody, Gunther, and Brock going forward.

Cody will be in the WWE Title match at Mania somehow, think that's guaranteed.

Gunther vs Rey, and Brock vs Knight are my guesses for Mania, or if Breaker isn't back in time then Brock vs Seth.

Logan Paul... Much better than Austin Theory,

Yeah, but that's like being the most expensive item in poundland.

Fair play, that's some peak WWE shit. Despite Roman stumbling over some words, he had some good content and the fans were eating it up. When he said Punk was a liar, I wondered just what he was going to throw at him but it ended up a bit tame. Good retort from Punker. Few better than him in this scenario.

This was clearly their marquee match last year and it still is. They only had to stand opposite each other in the ring to sell it. They're probably the top two acts in the industry.

Only negative is that their interaction last year has had to be a retro-fitted into Roman really hating Punk now. That doesn't seem to be a problem. Given they did a mega U-turn that made no sense last year and still got lauded for their story-telling, that shouldn't be a surprise.

A rare occasion where I disagree with you, Arch!

My counter to that would be that it’s worth doing interesting things with your most interesting characters. I’m not saying Dom should be Roman Reigns - but to not have him go for the title while he was at his hottest as a heel was a big miss for me. Cody as champ versus Dom would have been great fun.

Similarly, when you have two world titles you can take a chance on someone - although I’d argue that you’re not really taking a chance on Dom given that he’s proven his consistency. Mysterio as World Heavyweight Champion would have been far more entertaining than Rollins during his runs as champ, for example.

The same names keep getting used in top matches, so there’s clear value to me in using someone like that in a top spot, at least while they’re hot. I don’t think his ring work is as average as you suggest either, he’s perfectly capable of very enjoyable matches.

As for Chelsea, there’s an alternate universe in which the exact same statement you’re making here is being made about Toni Storm - ‘she works better outside the main event’ or even ‘you can’t put a character like that in a top position’ to both statements, I’d say ‘why not’?

She’s decent in ring, has bags of charisma and comes over incredibly well in promos. I’d go as far as to say she could and perhaps should be a main event character. She’s very similar to Storm, or maybe Kurt Angle during his early years from a character perspective. What does Charlotte, for example, have that Chelsea does not other than a famous dad? Same goes for Tiffany Stratton. I can think of plenty things they don’t have that Chelsea does. I don’t see any reason at all why you couldn’t put the main title on Chelsea, building to her getting her comeuppance and eventually turning face. I think they realise she’s good - same with Dom - but there’s so much more that could be done with both of them.

Danhausen and HHH. Who is pointing to his willyhausen. Cannot understand this signing as there's no way he'll sell enough merch.to justify it. Oddhausen.

That's the big difference between your Danhausen's and Will Ospreay's. Some of them just want to toil in the minor leagues without putting in the effort.

In hindsight the best thing that could have happened to him was that shit reaction because now they’ll push him to the moon just to spite the fans.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. They're the biggest company in the world.

I've watched the Danhausen bit about 100 times. Absolutely perfect. Starting off with him saying as he debuted to raptuous applause he has some demands made the debut a level above what it already was. There's a thousand more things I loved about it and could talk about it for hours.

When I was at Uni I wrote an essay about wrestling and how it relates to the medieval tradition of carnival. This would have fitted straight into that essay

A clip of the Reigns / Punk promo came up on during my morning YouTube Shorts 10 minutes of peace before my daughter gets up so, out of interest I watched the whole thing.

And it's really shit. Well, I guess where wrestling is and has been for ages it probably compares well. But when was the last time there was a really big wrestling promo that didn't turn into some worked shoot shit that dropped REAL NAMEZ and ended with an absolute clanker that takes you completely out of the game, as @Supremo mentioned. Are you going to really kill him, Phil? Are you?

These two guys used to be more than good enough to not resort to this bollocks. I guarantee Reigns is going to reference Saudi Arabia at some point and while he'll be right because CM Punk is a coward, I hate this shit and now I'm going to have to find a way to change my Shorts settings because I'm not having this spoiling my breakfast in the weeks up to Wrestlemania.
