I think the best thing I can say about a show is at least it felt a bit energised. Little chaotic. That's kinda where I like the shows to sit, rather than just in holding patterns.

Good? Great? I'm not really sure overall but it felt like at least they are on the road to Wrestlemania.

‘Triple H pointing photo’ answered the question as to whether Danhausen will be funny or not, still dreading him running into R Truth, Jim Duggan, someone else then finally Faarooq backstage at Mania though

CM Punk looking at AJ’s arse was pretty funny as well

Wondered why Rollins touching Heyman was happening before Mania but then realised Heyman is clever enough to get away from Vision Black and White as quickly as possible with what a shit show they are

Last segment was pretty good, I would’ve cringed my eyes out of my ears if he’d started calling him Joe but thankfully it never came to pass, assume Reigns will get physical next time he’s there, don’t fancy 6 weeks of them hinting Chris Hero should’ve somehow been champion for 3 years

Masked man stuff, still? Who the fuck even thinks people want to keep seeing this shit.

WWE do and they're right. It's not novel or interesting to people who've watched this for almost 40 years but it generates interest in their fan base. Whether it's people who haven't watched for years, people who are just engagement farming or people who don't need anymore from their wrestling - there is definitely a huge element of their fanbase that will scan QR codes in backstage skits, love guessing the clues from vignettes, wonder what's in a box or who is wearing the black hoody this week. It's no wonder AI could write this stuff.

They deserve a ton of shit for all sorts of things but you can never argue that they don't know their fanbase or how to milk every penny out of the daft bastards.

Saw the Danhausen skit. "It fell in the toilet". WWE humour at it's absolute best.

Danhausen isn't funny anyway, but WWE certainly isn't going to help him out with that.

Agree. At least before he almost didn't mean to be funny and was delivering his stuff straight...now week one, we have wee and poo poo jokes.

It's what the kids want I tell you!

Say what you want about WWE's black hoodie trope, but it's instantly improved Seth Rollins' wardrobe.

His gimmick from hereon should just be 'black hoodie guy'.

Not exactly referencing this topic, but it's always interesting watching someone move from one company to another and then people suddenly not liking them.

For someone like Danhausen - beyond the stupid completely unnecessary build up, I don't think he'll actually be massively different in WWE, apart from trying to get over a catchphrase.

He's not going from being some high brow comedian or anything.

I'd suggested he'd be better off in NXT but then I remembered why he's probably not allowed there.

I'm guessing that Punk didn't call Roman "Joe" because they don't want a Samoan called Joe on their TV, because Punk would normally use the real name of anyone who calls him Phil.

Dominik Mysterio shouldn't be mixing with ding dongs like Danhausen. Losing to Penta is fair enough but Dom doesn't need to be saddled with spooky bollocks, that's what your JD's of this world are for.

I was instantly reminded of Juice Robinson returning last year at All In, with his save corrupted and all his stats reset. However, unlike Juice, Seth Rollins returning as a Generic Create-A-Wrestler actually benefitted him! “No Frills,” Seth Rollins is actually the best version of Seth Rollins!

Austin Theory, man. Not only is he shit. Not only will he always be shit. But now, between that ironic Twitter promo he put out last week and watching him here, you can tell even he knows he’s shit. You can see the panic behind his eyes. You can see him being in his own head. Completely wobbled. The only thing worse than being hopelessly crap; knowing you’re hopelessly crap.

At one point, he seemed to just give up mid-promo, handing the mic to Logan. “You tell them…” (because I’ve completely bottled it). Imagine that. Austin Theory has ten years experience, and yet Logan Paul is left carrying the act. Fucking hell. Funniest part was watching Paul Heyman’s face throughout. He knows it more than anyone. Haunted by the Ghosts of Shitarse Past. He’a back in the Rybaxel Vortex!

Watching this opening segment, you sensed Seth and Paul had shared a few cheeky DMs about the sorry state of The Vision, both agreeing to fuck them off. Seth immediately getting the revenge on Heyman, with Heyman getting carted off in the ambulance? And with Theory and Logan now feuding with the Usos? I don’t think Seth even wastes his time with them. I reckon it’ll be Theory/Logan vs. The Usos for the Tag Belts at Wrestlemania and Seth vs. Brock as this year’s Paul Heyman Acting Masterclass Match.

I know there’s been rumours of LA Knight facing Brock at Wrestlemania, but watching him drive away in the ambulance here, considering how his constant botching has turned him into WWE’s Mr. Bean, it should be easy enough to write him out until at least Summerslam.

It was a good show. Quick bonus thoughts.

- Gunther violently murdering Dragon Lee was incredible. The Rey Mysterio retirement match at Wrestlemania feels more likely than ever! Result!

- Infinitely better night for Danhausen. That’s exactly how he should be used, being a silly little weirdo backstage, believing his curses have power even if it’s just coincidence. Fair play. He’s going to slot right into the Santino/R-Truth/Heath Slater position and make a very tasty living for little to no bumps. Good for him. Very nice. Very evil.

-AJ Lee not rematching Becky at Wrestlemania is interesting. When she offered out an Open Challenge I half expected Paige’s music to hit. Match would be crap, obviously, but it’s a nice nostalgic callback, which is all AJ is really good for nowadays.

- Great bit of business with Penta winning the Intercontinental Title. Probably should have saved it for Wrestlemania though because I can’t think of anything better for him on that show. Sympathies remain with Rey Fenix having to watch this from catering.

- Loved the closing promo and could watch Roman and Punk swing their dicks all day long…apart from the closing line. Never a fan of that stuff. The only time it ever works for me is with the way Christian has turned it into a bit. Otherwise it kills my mood and completely takes me out of the fiction. Felt completely unnecessary. What next? Is Roman going to take the piss out of Punk’s dog dying?

Whole thing still felt humongous though. Even if Roman did end up kicking a stuffed Larry into the crowd like Snitsky with the doll, he’d still somehow make it work and look like a megastar in the process. Who else could look this cool turning up in his winter coat?

I like to think this is the level of aura Austin Theory thinks he has in his poxy little jacket. Not quite, mate.

I genuinely think a ‘Domhausen’ pairing between the two will end up happening, leading to Mysterio’s face turn.

Dominik Mysterio is the most frustrating waste of a character in the company - he managed to become the most over heel they have, yet they refuse to elevate him above a certain level. I suspect he’s been Chelsea Greened, and as with her it’s such a waste. Is Drew McIntyre/Randy Orton at Wrestlemania more exciting than Cody/Dom for the title, or even Dom/Orton? I wouldn’t say so.
