Mr_Danger Posted January 29, 2025 Posted January 29, 2025 Never hear about an over saturation of celebs on show when Sky show Kevin Webster at Old Trafford. Quote

My 11yo is convinced ishowspeed is winning the Rumble and Kai Cenat is fighting Cena at Mania (what a mark) so its working? I’m not referring to guys who actually have something to say, or who are scheduled for future appearances. I’m talking about the other six thousand celebrities brought in just for them to go, “look who else is in the crowd!” It felt like they calmed it down after the Netflix debut, but they were right back on it here. Even understanding that the majority of them were covering for an ad break, we’ve already proven there’s far more effective ways to use that time. Send Karrion Kross out there to try and make Jackie Redmond corpse. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted January 29, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 29, 2025 Personally I’m thrilled that Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias is in the crowd on every show, every week, until the end of time. Quote

I think we'll be finding it just a pure coincidence how many WWE celebrity superfans also just happen to have a new show starting on Netflix later this week, quite regularly. Quote
MVP RULZ Posted January 29, 2025 Posted January 29, 2025 I fully appreciate I'm far from the target audience and it's more my own failings to keep up with the hip things of today I guess and I am approaching 40 but I genuinely have never heard of 9 out of 10 people they show I thought this Cenat guy was some Cena gimmick like Juan Cena at first. Never heard of any of the Rappers they showed either apart from 2 Chainz but then I only know the name and thats probably from previous times he has been shown at an event or done a theme for a show but Cenat? Quavo? Lil Yachty? Not the faintest idea who they were Quote

Quavo was/is in Migos who were pretty huge at one point. Quote

Takeoff was shot dead (©️GrimPeterProductions) and Offset slept with Quavo's ex leading to some ill feeling. Migos were pretty big in the US though and Quavo is from Atlanta so it's not a huge crime to have them in the audience. Like MVPRules I thought Cenat was some sort of Cena gimmick but when I thought about it even WWE are not going to black someone up in this day and age. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted January 29, 2025 Posted January 29, 2025 As much as it's not for me, I respect the fact they're trying to get more mainstream attention, plus it's good to see they're actually going more modern and 'now' rather than just constantly rolling out Kid Rock or something. Although at least I know who he is. Quote

Otherwise those Boom fuckers will be on AEW every week. Quote
The King of Old School Posted January 29, 2025 Author Posted January 29, 2025 I wonder if they will go with Cody/Punk for the WWE Title & Reigns/McIntyre at Mania. Have Punk win and then Summerslam can be headlined by Punk/Reigns for the WWE Title. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted January 29, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 29, 2025 My worry is that if Celeb-a-mania is a Netflix call, it’s not something they’ll get bored of and stop doing, like they do most things. It could still be happening by the time we get to the SummerFest! Quote
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted January 29, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 29, 2025 Anyone thought of having a celebrity General Manager? Maybe every week? Quote

Mr_Danger Posted January 29, 2025 Posted January 29, 2025 My favourite was Tony Hinchcliffe. “Look here’s Joe Rogan’s mate who does a podcast and offends Puerto Ricans and he’s with Shane Gillis who is clearly here for the free beer.” Travis Scott is a get, Caulkins are a get. I’ll be amazed if Bert Kreischer isn’t running around with his top off promoting his latest retelling of his joke by Mania. HHH must feel like the coolest man alive right now. Quote
