I guess "punched his ticket" is the new company sponsor. Has to be, the amount of times it was said last night.

Really enjoyable RAW that, had a bit of everything.

Looking forward to Sami v KO at Mania. From what I remember their last match there was still good but it was also quite short. It will be one of the featured matches this time.

Jey Uso is one of the best winners they’ve had in forever.

Personally I think he’s fantastic on the mic.

YEET.

What a promo from Jey Uso tonight. What an entrance and big time feel he already has. While the rest of the stars are slugging it out in qualifying matches and knocking the shit out of each other, he's strolling on in yeeting away with the whole crowd in his palm. He might even make Gunther exciting!

Charlotte was actually more rubbish than I could have even imagined. Cut a jumbled promo which was either bad to begin with or she desperately tried to turn around on the fly when she didn't get the big return pop she expected. Shades of Hogan "you're my best tag team partner" but sadly she has to appear every week on every show now it seems.

Rest of the show was fairly decent. Iyo and Liv Morgan had a good match with an interesting finish that could give Rhea something to do if Charlotte picks someone else.

Punk vs Sami was good too and you know what, I might just be with Owens over Sami on this one. He asked Sami for help and instead of being decisive he went out during the match and did nothing which is even worse. It's Sami's fault Owens isn't champion and fair play to Owens for piledriving him.

I skipped Penta vs Kaiser, or at least watched in it partly in the background while I was playing Zelda II. Penta is fine but there aren't many people on the roster I care less about than Ludwig Kaiser. New Day vs Rey and Dragon Lee also got skipped because the LWO stuff is a vortex I have no interest in being trapped in. New Day's new music is brutal though.

Is this not intentional to make sure they don't get cheered though? They do at least start with a catchphrase so you can tell who's coming.

I think that's giving them a very generous benefit of the doubt looking at the music on the rest of the roster. You're right about the catchphrase though.

Solid show so far. Seth looks like a cross between Undertaker, Randy Savage and Rob Zombie.

Shades of Michael Hayes for me last night. I popped listening to WOR earlier when Bryan Alvarez said something to the effect of 'Seth Rollins came out, looking utterly ridiculous, to cut a serious promo'. Seth in a nutshell.

Saw bits of Raw, seemed like a decent enough show and a really good post-Rumble showing for Jey Uso.

Hoping WWE don't do the obvious and instead have Rey go over Logan Paul in the Chamber qualifier next week (maybe with Punk costing Paul?). They probably won't, but I'd like to see Mysterio in some higher profile matches before he packs it in.

I watched Punk's match with Sami and really enjoyed it. I just love the way Punk wrestles, in a way that I guess would be considered 'old school' now, where he builds things up so that standard moves like a small package actually mean something and get reactions down the closing stretch. I much prefer that than the modern style of finisher spam and the same spots being repeated over and over.

Sami/Owens feels like it's building to a major stipulation match at either the Chamber or 'Mania. They've already had a Last Man Standing match before and it feels a bit soon to be doing another big ladder match, so my money would be on I Quit.

I'm not going to get chance to watch this week I don't think, but I've seen some suggestion that Logan Paul/Punk and Cody/Cena might be the route for Mania.

Whilst both those things sound fun, I'd much rather they went Cody/Punk and Paul/Cena as I think Cena not getting his Mania event in his final year ties into the story they're telling, whereas Punk not getting his Mania main event just means more tedious promos and people using that as a story prop to beat him with.

Yeah I definitely see punk winning the chamber, I think he probably would've last year too had he not gotten injured.

What's happened to Punk vs. Reigns? That's a marquee match. As soon as I saw it speculated, probably in some ridiculously OTT @Supremo post, it immediately jumped out. Appreciate how popular Cody is, how hateable Paul is and Cena is Cena but Punk vs. Reigns just jumps off the page.
