Rollins is infuriatingly shite. I didn't think I could possibly hate him any more, but that ghosting craic promo while dressed like Cookie Monster in a bin bag put him over the top yet again. Just feck off, I'm begging you!

Disappointing show this week, just there with some ok stuff but nothing groundbreaking.

3 womens matches with the state of this division is overkill mind, just rubbish. It's alright chucking more womens titles out there so you can look all inclusive and high and mighty, but when the majority of the womens roster are dreadful it really drags down the shows.

Is it that? I mean I'd hope it's more investing in the women and they've got a lot of decent ones waiting around in NXT too. I'm pretty positive about the future potential of the women's divisions.

It’s definitely the right call.

You have to pay Punk/Seth off at this point, but it’s never felt less like a Wrestlemania main event than it did on this show.

Seth’s promo was so lame and small fry. Maybe it’s because we’ve had a glimpse of a proper Mania main event with Roman and Punk. Maybe it was Seth’s poxy delivery. Or maybe AEW has made me positively allergic to anyone ever, “defending the company.”

He just felt like such a loser. Droning on about the past. Like when you bump into someone you haven’t seen in ages and they’re still banging on about stuff that happened in high school. Get over it!

With any luck, Heyman’s favour to Punk is to use his creative influence wherein he has one, single match with Seth, goes over clean, then moves on to a proper feud with a proper star.

If Rock’s out for this year’s Mania, what’s Stone Cold up to?

Coasting into the new Raw off the back of one of the best episodes they've maybe ever done, hopes are high, maybe higher than they've ever been bef

Ahh shite.

I just don't understand it, I really don't. A serious, focused Seth Rollins last week produced some of his best stuff (yes, low bar) since The Shield. Who signed off on him not just looking like this but the promo he then filed? This was my worry when they decided to do Punk vs Rollins, that it would become work-shooty and be a load of shite about their ROH days or something. The exact reason why I didn't care for Punk vs Kingston as much as everyone else. I don't give a shit. A terrible segment that only picked up when Sami Zayn came in and rescued it. When Rollins is out there on his own it's a disaster. When he has someone to work off, they bring him back to a serious mindset. Let's just get it out of the way, then.

Anyway, the rest of the show was alright. Gunther did a decent promo and I had a good chuckle when Gunther said he was above Finn Balor (who isn't?) and Carlito muttered "Yeah, because you're higher up!" They're doing a lot of triple threats now but I'm alright with that as it will mean less Balor to put up with and more Damian Priest. Balor is terrible though, and he's never convincing doing the backstage stuff. I'm going to ask every week when his contract is up until someone gives me an answer I like.

The big Final Testament (I always nearly call them Final Solution, which might be more fitting) vs Wyatts tag match was decent. Hopefully they'll do a big no holds barred one next. Give Scarlett and Nikki a match as well! Paul Ellering did something!

Punk's interview was pretty decent, sounded quite natural and off-the-cuff and Jackie Redmond got to ask actual questions.

I don't understand why you would do Dakota Kai vs Liv Morgan when the former is trying to win the IC title and then have her lose. Decent match, though, and Morgan is slightly improving by limiting herself to heel work. The aftermath stuff saw the pirate come so close to cunting her head off the announce desk though. She's sodding useless.

McIntyre's promo was awesome. Laughed my head off at "pointing your stupid fingers in the air". All their villains are right. Break their fingers, Drew!

The Lyra Valkyria / Ivy Nile / Zelina Vega was alright but would have been better without Vega, because she's quite rubbish. The former two did some good stuff though, I'd like to see them do a one-on-one match. Give them a story. You know, like you do for the men!

The best thing they did all night was give Xavier Woods a camera because you could see up-close that those fans were FUMING. They were a shit crowd most of the night but they woke up for that. Some rare actual proper heat in wrestling. Amazing. I'm not a fan of this booing people out of the building stuff becoming overdone so I hope they give them some pre-recorded promo time next. This was superb though, Woods already seems born for this role.

Terrific brawl between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez to finish off, which needed more time, really. Enjoyed it a lot and Iyo Sky didn't balls up the ending either so fair play for that.

Obviously not a patch on last week but even slightly off-the-boil Raw these days is watchable.

Has there ever been a kayfabe explanation why Rollins dresses the way he does? I vaguely remember during the pandemic era there was something about him having a nervous breakdown or similar, is this it?

I would sort of understand it if he were this obnoxious heel whose sole intention is to wind people up, but as a babyface I genuinely can’t tell what he’s trying to do.

Just throw shit at the wall to see what sticks to cover up a lack of talent/character I think. That's his M.O.

Kairi Sane is the one with the pirate gimmick not Iyo Sky.

She was the one that did the dive off the top rope to the outside. Wasn't she?

My apologies. I’ve somehow totally confused the segments and don’t remember that even happening and only seen Iyo’s dive through the ropes towards the table and assumed that’s the dive you meant!
