Paid Members Supremo Posted December 4, 2024 Paid Members Posted December 4, 2024 I am interested in where they do the Punk vs. Seth match. Seems too long to stretch it out until Wrestlemania, but the only big events over the next few months are Saturday Night’s Main Event or Royal Rumble, and I wouldn’t expect it on either of those shows. Maybe they’ll splurge it on the first Raw on Netflix. Give them their money’s worth. Here’s a live shot of Bret trying to judge Seth’s sloppy in-ring work. Quote

If the buffer wheel obscured Rollins entrance and promo time each week, I think we're looking at an all time great gimmick. Right to Censor Dickheads. Quote
Paid Members RedTwoster Posted December 4, 2024 Paid Members Posted December 4, 2024 I think this is the year they do Reigns vs Rock. It’s clear the Roman/Solo feud is wrapping up, and it feels too soon to do Reigns/Punk. Cody can face Cena, allowing both to appear on Raw and Smackdown so neither Netflix nor USA feel shafted as far as star power is concerned. Quote

There's a pretty clear path for them to do Roman/Solo for the Tribal Chief title/necklace at the Rumble, and after Roman wins Rock interrupts his coronation to say you need to beat The Final Boss to be the Tribal Chief. Papa Paul, to his credit, likes to surprise us but that seems to write itself. For the rest, lord knows. If I was a betting man I'd say they'll do Punk/Seth, Gunther/Cena and Cody/Orton. I hope of who's left they find a way of doing Punk/Cody though. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted December 4, 2024 Paid Members Posted December 4, 2024 The Moana 2 box office tells you to take your The-Rock-at-Mania-41 fantasy booking, turn that sumbitch sideways, and stick it straight up your candy ass! Triple H probably breathing a massive sigh of relief. Probably also considering stripping Rock of his toy belt. A full calendar year, with zero defences? Sounds like we need another tournament full of endless Triple Threat matches to decide a new champ! Quote

TheScarlettChad Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 That's interesting. Rock coming out at Bad Blood was pointless, then wasn't it? Quote
Doog Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 It was obvious something was off straight after Bad Blood, he wasn't mentioned at all anf hasn't been mentioned on TV at all since that show. Fuck knows why he wanted to come out so much that night, but clearly WWE knew then he wasn't around for the long haul/WrestleMania as he's been completely ignored, as if it never happened. To my earlier point, hopefully this means they might get the belt on one of the top stars and make it a focal point, not hopeful though as Netflix RAW is going to be all about everyone but the World Champion Quote
Paid Members Daaaaaad! Posted December 4, 2024 Paid Members Posted December 4, 2024 I’m no Observer shill, but this kind of makes Rock look a berk for calling Meltzer out when he reported this months ago. Quote

I could see Owens winning the belt on SNME; allowing Reigns to win the title at the Rumble or Elimination Chamber, the Punk to cash in his favour from Heyman - a title shot against Reigns at Wrestlemania. It would shaft Cody a little, but maybe a match against Randy Orton is in his Wrestlemania future. Quote

Owens losing another title match at the rumble to Roman would be a fantastic catalyst to send him more over the edge. Quote

Cody has a win over Gunther, and given they've been playing on Gunther's insecurity since that loss there's a potential Mania programme there if that was the direction they choose. I really hope they don't use Punk's favour to insert him into a Cody/Reigns match for the triple threat at Mania, but I wouldn't be shocked if they do, presuming if Rock is legitimately out of the picture. That’s not a bad shout actually, I could absolutely see them doing that. I was anticipating a John Cena title match at Wrestlemania, but he doesn’t necessarily have to fight for the title there.
