Me and possibly Onyx2.  The Wild Robot was lovely. I absolutely love animated robot faire. I also love Lilo and Stitch and How to Train your Dragon, so there was a lot of expectation here. Me and my daughter both cried a few times, looks beautiful and good voice cast. Bring on the sequel.

It's lovely, warm and sweetly funny in places. I also bawled much of the way through it. Take tissues. Highly recommended. Going on Monday night and looking forward to it! Big fan of the books myself.

Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted October 19 Awards Moderator Share Posted October 19 (edited) Is Pearson a wrestling fan? If so, there was a guy with neurofibromatosis at All In this year, wondered if it might have been him. I’m not a southerner though. Edited October 19 by HarmonicGenerator Understanding that this possibly reads as quite insensitive to people with that condition, the guy was wearing the kind of shirt Pearson wears on TV as well so it wasn’t just that which made me wonder
Paid Members gmoney Posted October 19 Paid Members Share Posted October 19 He's a massive wrestling fan. Definitely not beyond the realm of possibility that he's been on the UKFF.

Paid Members BomberPat Posted October 21 Paid Members Share Posted October 21 I can confirm that I have also met Adam Pearson in Croydon, at a live recording of the Under Consoletation podcast.
WyattSheepMask
Been on holiday from work for around 10 days so had a bit of a movie binge. Highs: Super Mario Bros Movie- I did try with this last year but didn’t really give it my full attention, so rectified that here. Great fun and a svelte 90 minutes Boy Erased - Bleak based on a true story drama about a young man (played by Lucas Hedges) who gets sent to gay conversion therapy. Also features Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman and Joel Edgerton (who also wrote, produced & directed) who are all very good, but its very grim in places Grave of the Fireflies - Seen this many times but haven’t watched it for at least a decade. The ending still gets me. It’s recently been added to Netflix, so hopefully it will have something of a resurgence in popularity, which it should because it’s a great film. And yes, we watched My Neighbor Totoro immediately afterwards Goldfinger - less than 60 seconds  in, Bond emerges from the water with a plastic seagull on his head. 10/10 Middles: Late Night With The Devil- An Interesting take on the Found Footage genre, but it kind of loses it way in the last 15minutes. A good effort though Never Let Go - Had this come around a couple of years ago with the likes of Birdbox or A Quiet Place or one of Jordan Peele’s projects people would’ve gone wild for this. However, I think we’ve moved past those kind of films and this will get forgotten fairly quickly. Lows: Terrifier - people seem excited about the third of these coming out,  but I hadn’t seen any. Absolute garbage. The second is 2 & 1/4 hrs and has Chris Jericho in it, so theres no way I’m watching that Edited October 21 by WyattSheepMask

It just felt like a storyless collection of gruesome murders. I'm not squeamish, but I'm also not a fan of violence for the sake of it, especially when it's just gratuitous, but worse this just seemed dull as fuck. Edited October 21 by mim731 spelling (not witchcraft)
Merzbow
Maybe I'm just too cynical but I also don't buy that Terrifier is just some little indie that's done well on it's own, I feel like there's been some well funded push through social media and the like.
