I'm enjoying Nine Sols, except, y'know, the combat. It's way harder than HK or Silksong as parrying plays a huge part of it. It's going to end up with Daigo parrying, isn't it?

Finished A Hat in Time with, remarkably, 100%. Took me a little while to really get into it but it really is a fantastic game that I would go back to one day. Brilliant soundtrack, too.

Now I'm playing Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines. Really enjoyed the first one and this one is just as good, with the new character adding a lot and a different kind of action. Surprised these two games aren't more popular.

I bought a dock for the Steam Deck so I could play Max Payne 3 and the Resi 4 HD Project (when I can be arsed going through all that hassle) on the big screen. God, MP3's just fucking magnificent, I've said it a million times before just about the 360/PS3 version, but playing the PC version and it absolutely singing hammers it home. The gunplay's unmatched, the fluidity the style, the realism (when you take slow-mo out of the equation), the animations, even the gore. There's nothing else out there like it. I replayed the stadium part about five times in a row, just having so much fun and trying to nail the quadruple headshot while diving down the stairs part. First time playing since James McCaffrey's death too, man, what a performance. 

Blood Stone 007: Never played it before now, it was good. Short and sweet, decent variety in locations, good car bits, decent cast, Joss Stone made a decent Bond girl. I think third person and original story tends to be my preferred Bond game style. It was no Everything or Nothing though. Blood Stone got fucked by Activision deciding to release it on the exact same day as the Goldeneye remake on the Wii. I'm super hyped for First Light.

The new Lego Batman looks fun as all hell, I really wasn't expecting it to be on my radar.

The airport level of Max Payne 3 where you dive out into the terminal surrounded by enemies and "Tears" by Health starts blasting is a top gaming moment for me. Incredible.

There are loads of great set pieces and locations in that game. It just looks and feels brilliant.

Yeah Max Payne 3 still looks better than many current gen games, it manages the mix of realism and artistic style better than 95% of games that came after.

That was my thought. 

I picked it up on Switch the other day, played the first few minutes but realised I should really have something a bit more substantial than my Switch speakers to play it on. I recommended it to a friend by describing it as an interactive John Hughes movie. 

Picked up Jedi Survivor. I enjoyed Fallen Order's "baby's first soulslike" vibes, and am looking forward to seeing how the second one is. Bollocks to paying an extra £12 for costumes though. Deluxe version my arse.

Shin Megami Tensei IV (3DS) 

Finally completed the easy to miss neutral path (guide highly recommended) and completed it on normal, without changing the difficulty or using the DLC. 

For all the talk of SMTIII Nocturne being the hardest game in the mainline series, I think SMTIV is actually more of a challenge.

Got my ass kicked pretty regularly, both by bosses and regular mobs. Many a rage quit mid battle, lol. 

Pretty sure I've said it before but the 3DS is still worth owning for the MegaTen library alone.

I was really excited to hear they'd done a sequel to Huntdown - only to find out they've made it into a roguelike. Do game companies only have one idea these days? The first game was absolutely fine the way it was. Every other new fucking game on Steam is a roguelike.

Playing EDF 5 atm on PS5. It is so janky, broken and stupid but I love it. The voice acting is as gloriously bad as I remembered.

Nothing beats levelling a skyscraper with a rocket launcher, just because one ant is on the other side.

First played that series on PS2, there's barely been any changes since then yet I wouldn't really want there to be.

I now live in New Zealand time so have stuck 2 hours into Forza Horizon 6 on Xbox. I can definitely see this being the best in the series, like all the plaudits it is getting.

It is absolutely stunning, and hooning it around Japan in Evo's, Impreza's and Skylines. Just feels so right.

But do you have this classic Toyota yet? I think it'd be the only car I'd drive, there's even a high end version in the game.
