I’ve not played any of the other Sonic racing games so I can’t comment on those, but it’s not something I’ve noticed with this game. Perhaps I’ll feel more aware of that after reading this, though. The second world really hooked me in as it's so completely different and I do love a stealth game. The PECK stuff in the mission where you have to become a diva might be the hardest I've ever laughed at a game. Quote

Looks like there are some new characters to unlock, new items and some pets in the between level shop. Evil Empire seem to be doing a much better job of getting content out across all platforms than the previous devs. Also a friend bought me a copy of Inscryption on XBox. I'm going to give that a try this weekend. Quote

It’s a great little game, and every area you visit has a creative twist to it. I’m now playing Vampire Crawlers. A LOT of Vampire Crawlers. I’ve never been one for a deck builder, but this one is pretty different, and has really hooked me in. It always feels like you’re making progress, and it takes the Vampire Survivors formula, very effectively applying it to a different genre. There are plenty of roguelike duck builders, but none that I’ve actually liked, let alone enjoyed. It feels like Vampire Survivors, in spite of the fact it really isn’t. An easy recommend for me, particularly if you’re playing it in a handheld. Quote

On a similar line I’ve been sinking my whole life into Slay The Spire. I finished it with the first two characters (eventually) and got to the final boss on the 3rd one with the orbs this morning but just got beat. Bought two new games and playing How Close is the Ghost and it's great fun, like a point and click only with sound only. It's not particularly difficult (yet). This one has save features whereas most of the games are episodic. It probably isn't really a video game but I'm not sure what it would be. I'd recommend it to anybody though. £45 for the console and a game, £120 for console and all 5 games. Quote

I kept seeing adverts for it on Facebook a few months back, but I always thought it looked really shonky and low rent, but also looks like it could be a really interesting distraction for an evening once in a while. How've you been finding it? It doesn't feel premium but if you listen to him it's built to be dropped rather than feel high end. Designs for cartridge and console came from feedback from people who'd gone blind or has strokes. Also built to be modded. He also wanted to keep it cheap as he felt often things aimed at disabled people come with a disability tax. But in the end it's essentially a guy in his basement, and he's a really top bloke. The voice casts are mainly the guy from the adverts and his wife, but that is kind of the charm. There is some additional casting. I think it's great fun, different stories can have different endings or episodes can too. So a 2hr game but they have replay value. I would definitely recommend it. Especially as the up front price is low. A 6th game is about to come out in the next couple of months. Quote
