I've been looking out for Powerstone to make it onto PS4. Its a game type that appeals. Even though I have very limited experience with it. Have they done it justice?

Still playing SF6. Bounced back to Guile after having a little dabble with Mai. Still loving the game, and enjoying my incremental improvement... Climbing ranks slowly and steadily, currently in Platinum 5. I get the feeling my life would be easier if I lab some combos but I'm still working mainly with light confirms or target combo into flash kick. I am drive rushing and parrying more now though. And more importantly my spacing has gotten so much better so I can deal with cross ups better and win neutral more often.

I really should at least have one go to meter dump and one corner combo. I want to learn the boom loops just because they looks really satisfying.. but the problem is every time I get to play I just want to get online and queue for ranked so I never spend any time in the training room except occasionally very short drills.

I'm really tempted by the world of that game but really put off by the thought of the game play. I always want to get into Fallout and never manage it. I just feel like I'm constantly running out of ammo or constantly over encumbered and instead of feeling like I'm rewarded for exploring I feel like I'm punished because I inevitably have to spend an hour deciding what to get rid of.

I enjoyed Atomfall a lot, but the inventory management side of it really annoyed me, particularly because you have to collect a certain number of a specific item to progress the game, and depending on what you do, you may not have somewhere to store them for a while.

But I’d still recommend it. It’s a game in which you can kill every major character and still end up completing it. And fuck, they’re pretty much all awful people so you’ll probably want to.

I think I'm maybe 3/4ths through Indiana Jones and The Great Circle now. It's a game I'm enjoying a lot even though I don't think any of it is actually that good. It's weird. I'm loving the combined package of the game but a lot of the individual components are pretty ropey. The stealth is undeveloped, often frustrating and simplistic for a game that is primarily stealth. The hand to hand combat is unsophisticated button mashing. The shooting is generally useless, completely ineffective and unsatisfying. For a game based on a series known for its exciting, action set pieces this game barely has any. The platforming/exploration stuff is basically just "jump from here to here". The menus/user interface are clunky as fuck. However it's all wrapped up with a beautiful sheen, great atmosphere, visuals, characters and story that have absolutely hooked me in.

I 100% the game minus a 2 combat achievements last week and I must admit, despite my initial thoughts of it being like a poor man’s Medal of Honor at the start I quickly grew to appreciate it and really like it, despite it’s flaws, most of which you have mentioned and the occasional bug.

The stealth could be better and the hidden pyramid section really did show the limitation of the jumping mechanics in the game.

I hope they do a sequel as it really could develop into a great series.

It's a shame Bethesda completely gutted and drove out the top staff at Arkane because they could have done a perfect stealthy Indy game but to be fair Machine Games have a history of great licensed titles, they have staff that developed the excellent Chronicles of Riddick duology and the first Darkness.

Whenever I finally get a PS5 that'll be one of the first games I grab.

It's a port of the Arcade version. It's very good but you'll spend 3/4 of every round getting Ricky Mortoned.

After quite frankly the worst few months of my life, finally sat down for a few hours on Astro Bot today with my two daughters.

As magical as I'd hoped. The game design is wonderful. They're currently being a mouse and loving every second. It's got just enough new things in it compared to the last one while still having that familiarity which means we've not had to learn it too much.

Definitely the closest anyone's got to a Nintendo type family platformer. Just a real joy for all of us. Exactly what we needed.

I don't think I was prepared for how much bigger SteamWorld Dig 2 is than its predecessor. Just when I think I'm nearing the end, something else huge will open up. Not complaining at all, I love it, but nobody could accuse this of being a short game as they did the first one.

Capcom Fighting Jam/Evolution is an interesting one. It's an absolute mess with the graphics and characters all being very unbalanced. I can see it being some wacky fun with a few fighting game fan friends for a bit, but it's far from a highlight on the collection. I've been enjoying playing CVS2. The ratio system takes some getting used to after playing the traditional 3 on 3 KOF style mode on the PS2 version, but it is good. I haven't properly played Plasma Sword or Project Justice yet.

We've been playing more Plasma Sword than anything else really. I had Star Gladiator on PS1 and loved it at the time. Some of the characters are bonkers, the story is bonkers (Space Nazis!) and it plays like Soul Calibur with added funky mechanics.

Star Gladiator started as a rejected pitch for a Star Wars fighter, which is mental considering Lucas Arts released Masters of Teras Kasi around the same time, which was bloody awful!
