> INDIE STAR ACCUSES DARBY ALLIN OF ABUSE

- Independent wrestler Hawlee Cromwell today posted on social media that AEW star Darby Allin abused her in the past. "I’m tired I’m so f*cking tired and I don’t care anymore. Darby Allin abused me. He abused me and I’m tired of being called a liar by “fans” who have no idea the shitty person he really is," she wrote. "Somehow no one remembers, I’ll never forget how you treated me like shit." In her original June 2020 post during the height of the #SpeakingOut campaign, Cromwell wrote that she would not be naming any names because she didn't feel comfortable doing so. But that changed today. In the June 19, 2020 tweet, she explained that between 2016 and 2017, she had an on-again-off-again relationship with a wrestler who ruined her mental health and she's still struggling with it. Cromwell wrote that he would get upset, scream, and yell at her and treat her like a punching bag, although she admitted that he never laid a hand on her. "It got to the point we're I was so disassociated and was walking on eggshells all the time that I didn't say much and if I didn't reply how he wanted I would get screamed at. He would tell me if I didn't do things he wanted me to he was going to leave me," she continued, adding that she lived in constant fear and still does because that experience carries on to the point that she believes if she doesn't do something someone asks her, they will leave her. "He also would threaten to leave me if I didn't have sex with him or do sexual things and preform sex acts with him. I took me a long time to realize that threatening someone to have sex with you isn't consent. It's rape. I struggle with this to this day and have so many fears around sex and around intimacy," she added.

Some of the defences on Twitter are about as bad as you'd expect. Everything from "that's not rape, (he just tried to manipulate you into having sex)" and "He's innocent because Tony Khan cleared him after seeing some DMs."

Didn’t Darby’s now ex-wife accuse him of things last year too? Not of rape, but certainly being somewhat controlling.

Interesting to see how AEW address this. They sent Jimmy Havoc packing quite sharpish once he left his Rehab facility, but they’ve invested a lot of time & money into Darby.

Not that that should get him a free pass, but if they don’t do anything then they’re just as bad and Carny as Old Man Vince.
Then again, Justin Roberts got away unscathed, so it’s highly possible they just take Darby off TV for a bit and wait for it to blow over

It's quite telling of wrestling fans (and fans of any kind of celebrity to be fair) that depending on whether you like that persons character or not, will depend on the amount of defending they get.

Twitter is awash with people completely dismissing the claims and giving the lass quite a fair bit of online abuse. End of the day, if there is even a slight bit of weight to any of the claims for any star, regardless of how big or small, they should quite rightly face the consequences.

It's all well and good canning people like Havok, Ligero and the like that won't actually affect plans, but keeping people like Riddle and Justin Roberts around.

Some comedian, might have been Skinner, did a bit after accusations were made against McCartney about how everyone instantly believed him but if he told people he thought some scouser was beating his wife they'd believe it without doubt and you can get away with anything if you wrote Let It Be.

As we see every time, a football players guilt or innocence is immediately determined by the badge on their shirt.
