Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted June 4, 2024 Paid Members Posted June 4, 2024 I stopped using AdBlock Plus as it seemed to be less effective than it used to be on YouTube. uBlock Origin works better for me. Quote

Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted June 4, 2024 Moderators Posted June 4, 2024 (edited) YouTube vanced is dead on mobile now unfortunately. It was great while it worked! It's not supported/ being developed anymore, would be surprised if it still works on stick. Edited June 4, 2024 by Chest Rockwell Quote
TheScarlettChad Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Maybe the wrong thread but, I sent my PS5 to a repair shop because I believe the HDMI is faulty. The screen goes black and then says No Signal, Like there's well no signal. And once it went bright pink. The lad in there yesterday said it may be the GPU failing, But I don't think it is. I'm dreading having to find £300 for a new PS5. Quote

Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted June 4, 2024 Moderators Posted June 4, 2024 Nice. I am using NewPipe on my mobile at the moment which blocks adverts well but vanced had the integration with Google authentication which was great (i.e. you could actually use your YouTube account with it). Quote
Merzbow Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 (edited) I'm using SmartTube Beta on my Fire stick and aside from blocking ads it has a bunch of features that should have been in the official app, making it more on par with the desktop browser version or even exceeding it with far more options to block things like video sponsors or intros etc. I can use my YT account on it, too. TheScarlettChad Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 I fall asleep to YT and I like that you can make the screen black while also listening to the video. Quote
Paid Members Weezenal Posted June 22, 2024 Paid Members Posted June 22, 2024 Hey everyone, Has anyone discovered an interesting or useful way to utilize ChatGPT? Curious to hear your experiences and ideas! Thanks! (That was written by chatgpt - I just tried the premium for a month's test) Quote
Paid Members Statto Posted June 22, 2024 Paid Members Posted June 22, 2024 I've used it to write/rewrite basic song lyrics for me, that I've then tweaked. For example, I got it to write two extra verses to "Holding Things Together" by Merle Haggard, which is a lovely (if very sad) little song but is only Verse-Chorus-Verse-Chorus so comes up rather short for a solo acoustic performance. With very little prompt, it delivered me two half decent that scanned & fit the story, with just a little human tweaking required. One of my direct reports at work "creatively" used it to write their mid-year review statement. They were astounded that I noticed about 10 words in, when I was just having their goals parroted back at me in slightly odd language that said person definitely wouldn't use! Quote
Paid Members hallicks Posted June 22, 2024 Paid Members Posted June 22, 2024 I saw someone on Twitter say that their email style was too short and to the point, so now they put them through ChatGPT to give it the (I’m paraphrasing) corporate wankspeak feel and management absolutely love it. Quote
Steve Justice Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 Has anyone got or used a wireless Android Auto/Apple Car Play adaptor that they can recommend? Lots of varied reviews across many options on Amazon, so I'm not sure if they're worth the money. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted July 8, 2024 Members Posted July 8, 2024 What is the best website to upload pics to the forum? I use imgbb but I've noticed a few older posts (not that old though!) have them as not displayed or deleted. Is there a better way of doing it? I do always select "Do not autodelete" but they've still gone. Quote
