Thank you to both of you. On @Onyx2 advice I have found a hackerspace near me and hopefully i am going to drop in on them next week. Its not anything major but it will really help me with work.

Went very well thanks you. I needed a controlable dispensing cap that would screw on to the bottles that the lotion we use comes in, so I can get it in to the bottles we use easier. I didn't say what it was before because I couldn't describe it. They made it out of resin for what seemed a very cheap price. I actually gave them more than they asked for because they were a really helpful bunch.

Is there anyway to save an email from Outlook into Teams/Sharepoint?

At the moment I have to save the email to my One Drive in a folder, then reupload from there to Teams/Sharepoint which is a massive faff.

Surely there is a quicker way?

Power Automate. It will have a wizard / built in template to do exactly that.

If you've got the OneDrive client installed and you've the appropriate permissions on the SharePoint/Teams library click the "Sync" button on the SharePoint library ribbon to add it as a location in your OneDrive.  Then when you go to save the message, you select that location in your OneDrive, but it's actually the SharePoint/Teams library that's showing up directly in your OneDrive.  For compliance reasons the libraries might have OneDrive sync disabled.

Right lads, I need some advice. I'm in the market for a new laptop for work. Needs to be able to do project management stuff on it, run zoom calls etc, slack, Airtable database stuff and ideally not be massive so I can travel with it. Have a budget up to about £500, although ideally I'd like to come in a bit below that. I can provide more info if specifics needed!

Any one got any recommendations?

I’m a MacBook nonce, my advice on those is, don’t buy any of the intel models because the fans will run like crazy when you try to do anything, but especially on zoom/video calls. I think Apple silicon will probably be too pricey so my usual recco for “solid laptop” is Lenovo thinkpad. Bought from here before, had no issues.

Could do with some mobile phone advice please. I'm currently using a Samsung S10e that I've had about 9 years. It's getting ling in the tooth although it still runs quite quickly but the camera is shit and it overheats a lot.

I've got about 600 quid to spend on a new phone with these requirements:

• I 100% don't want an iphone because I use a lot of Android apps.
• A decent camera would be useful because some of my zoomed in pictures from the Sabbath show the other day were proper potato quality compared to what I could see on the phones of people around me.
• Samsung would be preferred just to give me a fighting chance of transferring my current data over with the least hassle
• 256gb storage preferred
• Not super massive (current phone is 5.8inches)
• Brand new, no refurbs. I'd been recommended the S23 and S24 but can only find them second hand.

I'd narrowed it down to the Samsung 24fe, the s25 and the Pixel 9/9a/9 Pro. Fully aware some of these are quite different. I've asked elsewhere online and struggling to get anywhere, tried watching a few videos on Youtube and just overwhelmed now so any advice would be appreciated.

£600 buys you A LOT! Do you have a preferred manufacturer? Easiest thing would be to get the best Samsung available for £600.

However, there are a number of competitors out there. I've had a POCO for a few years now and it's still going strong. I only paid around £250. It does everything I ask of it. 

Camera seems to be a concern for you. I'd look for the one that has the best camera. I've had a quick scan of the 24e specs and it seems quite strong in that area.

@cobra_gordo Up until the start of this year I'd been with Samsung for about the past 15 years. Made the switch to a Google Pixel 9 Pro and very happy with it.

The camera quality is really good and if anything, I find it easier to use than my previous Samsung phones.

Being Google, there's a bunch of daft AI shit they try to push at you but I've found it quite easy to disable or ignore all that stuff.
