Get a 2000's era one and be like the cool kids, but seriously I've contemplated getting one for gig photos that look like they were taken around the time of the Millennium.

Can anyone recommend any point and shoot digital cameras under £150?

£150 is a bit of a stretch. I had a look round, and point and shoots seem more equipped for vloggers, and so anything from a reputable brand is more like £250 upwards. I would avoid the Agfas, Kodaks, Vivitars and Minoltas, as they're just cheap nasty digitals where they've paid to license the name.

The cheapest point and shoots from a reliable brand appear to be the Pentaxs, although if you shop around, you might find a Canon IXUS model on offer.

I've got a new chromebook and I'm having some problems with MP3 music players.

I've got 3 mp3 music players that on my old computer work like a dream. I can plug them in and just drag music files over to them and jobs done.

On my new chromebook I can't even get one of them to connect. it doesnt come up with anything, it won't even charge. I read that it might be something to do with it being a MSC device that apparently chrome doesnt like so you have to change it to a MTP device.

How do I change it from a MSC to MTP?. I've looked on the mp3 player itself in setting and theres no option to change it. I'm guess i have to plug them into my old computer and change them that way some how? anyone know how to do this?

if thats not the problem than does anyone know what the problem could be?

I have, somehow, become my work teams go to guy for spreadsheets. I love a spreadsheet and can knock together a basic one, but the requests are getting more and more out of my wheelhouse.

So, after I googled and ended up more confused I was hoping someone here could advise me.

I need to make an Excel sheet with various bits of info in various columns. Yeah, fairly simple with the drop downs and formulae and the like. But one bit has me thrown. They want a column with 3 different answers (easy), but for whichever answer is selected for that row to be coloured the appropriate colour. It seems doable, but my multiple attempts have all gone wrong.

Any MacOS users here.

To my surprise I seemed to have slept on the new OS update Tahoe. Completely missed it but am downloading it now.

Any good, any helpful or cool features?

Apple’s innovation (at least in the Desktop OS realm) seems to have stagnated in the last ten years or so.

Work IT has to ratify major OS changes so we don’t usually get them for a bit after. Apple have steadily added more security “features” over the last few years that make the platform less usable. A great one recently was remote database access breaking unless you launch this particular app from the terminal. Which is like, fine, but what the fuck? And STILL having to disable SIP in 2025 because apps don’t work properly is fucking stupid. I mean, maybe that’s more down the devs of the apps or whatever but the whole thing as a concept is a bag of shite.

So er, yeah, let me know how you get on…

It’s getting a pasting online for silly things like different windows having different sized border radiuses, but I’ve found my Mac feels a little bit snappier after installing it.
