Out of interest, what is he? Because most of what I've seen has relied on the uniqueness of the WWE guy being in unusual indy situations.

When that guy comes back, what does that become?

If you watch the match he appears to be called Zack Cardona and does the Ruff Ryder....most odd

I've done a complete 180 on cardona returning and I've rewatched the comeback video on loop and I'm so happy and proud of him for believing in himself and his talents leaving the biggest company in the world and showing the world he was right and resigning as Matt cardona not Zack Ryder is unheard of bar the rare few.

Let's hope he has a successful run and shows what he actually is now.

- It’s not like he had a choice in the matter

- so it is heard of then

The only thing we know for sure is that he’ll be absolutely devastated to be leaving the Indies. Man loved being on the Indies so much.

I think he just wanted a Hasbro of himself.

The Indy God Matt Cardona now announcing he won’t be fulfilling his Indy dates and will be relinquishing his Indy Championship Titles.

When all is said and done, Kevin Owens might give Bret Hart a run for his money in terms of always being right about everything.

I don't really think you can hold anything against him there, that's how the business works. I'm delighted for him, getting the return he's worked his ass off for. There is nobody in the business that I've ever seen that is more of a fan than him. It's proper boyhood dream stuff for him to be there. Sadly, now that he's signed up, I just don't see him ever getting the type of run he's dreamed of. That's WWE for you though, how many guys ever do get the run they hoped for?

You assume he’s very aware of his role in WWE. Fill the time. Have the two star matches. Cash your cheque, travel with your wife and enjoy the company discount on action figures. He’d be mad to expect some huge push, but since getting back there was so obviously all he ever wanted, then fair play to him. Probably the only human being alive who celebrated when they announced Smackdown was returning to Three Hours. Ultimate Window of Opportunity.

Happy for him purely because he's a real grafter who never let the dream die. But also it's probably nice to get his old job back with the added bonus of being with his wife and not having a boss who doesn't think you deserve her. God I forget how incredibly weird the old man was.

One of the better episodes of Smackdown for at least feeling eventful.

Good promo from Sami. Man should be winning the Rumble and going to Wrestlemania. Wild how they still can’t see what they have with him when he’s literally the very reason their arenas are so full. This boom doesn’t happen if Sami doesn’t join The Bloodline. Roman Reigns doesn’t become anywhere near the star he is today. Roman would probably still be working full-time.

Aliester Black losing the Ambulance match, managing to finish the feud without taking a pinfall loss, was funny. Definitely got a text from Rusev, complimenting him. It’s all about the game and how you play it.

Even if we ignore the obvious reasons why they’ve announced the Three Stages of Hell match (Hunter’s a massive fucking mark for his own career and they’ve got loads more TV time to fill), they couldn’t have picked more boring match types. Nothing sillier than announcing the first match as a normal, straight wrestling match. The equivalent of when they have a blood feud, with people invading each other’s homes, and then still start the match with a collar and elbow tie-up.

“I hate and want to destroy you so much that the first of my three chosen matches will be… a fair athletic contest!” Might as well have challenged him to a Thumb War.

It wasn’t as if Drew even tried to pretend it made sense and acted like he had something to prove in a straight wrestling match, he just rushed through it as if even he knew it was daft. I suppose it matches the daft, bonkers tone of this feud as a whole. An overlong, mess of a match for an overlong, mess of a feud.

Also, whilst there could have been some heat in the idea of Drew breaking into the bus and stealing Cody’s prized photograph of his Dad before destroying and burning it, could they have not have spent a little bit of money on the prop? Look at the state of this thing.

Literally the cheapest, last-minute gift you buy in Boots on Christmas Eve because you can’t be arsed anymore. “What about your Aunty? We haven’t got her anything yet.” “Who cares. Print a shitty photo and then grab the cheapest frame next to it.”

Cardona has hit the jackpot coming back really, not only will he get merch revenue and the chance of figures in all of Mattel’s ranges, he’ll also likely strike a deal to have main roster guys for his own figure company lines that he and Myers wouldn’t have been able to get previously

It is funny cardona returned and his wife lost her belt on the same show and the night before he won the JCW world title in a reveal who it was under the mask at the end and it was cardona,

Also the drew Cody segment was so long and silly with drew backstage and Cody running to get him then he magically appeared in the ring so Cody ran back with the security nowhere near only to be holding him back in a crazy quick time, drew setting the picture on fire but it took ages and he held it to a point it looked like it was burning him, it felt like a rushed over dramatic attempt to create a narrative before it happens next week which is a majority summery of Cody's entire title run and the past year going from the same people he's feuding with after intervals.

What does this mean? Haven't they been feuding since like September?
