It’ll always be incredible how they somehow managed to water down the draft to the point where it lost all sense of excitement or interest. Remember the buzz it used to have? Feels like forever ago. And yet they still promote it as if it’s some crazy, mad event. “The wait is over! The time is now! Here are Sonya and Adam to calmly read some names, most of which are people just staying on the show they’re already on.”

Overall not a bad show though. Whilst the quality might vary, all main roster shows have had a completely different energy and a very obvious attempt to at least try different things ever since AEW caught fire. Everything feels tighter and as if some proper effort has gone into it. That Seth Rollins thing was the perfect example. Eight weeks ago he would have threatened to go to Edge’s house without actually doing it. They’d lazily talk about it but then just do another seventeen minute tag match instead. It was great that they actually delivered!

Not that Seth had the chops to carry such a segment, mind. It was a great idea, with loads of potential, it should’ve been proper creepy and horrible, but Seth ruined it by being Seth. I’d love to know when he decided endlessly cackling constituted being a good heel. Kevin Dunn trying to help his performance by randomly pressing the massive, “BOO!” button didn’t help, either. Almost no reaction at all, then this ridiculous, massive, thunderous, “BOOOOOOO!” when Seth sips some orange juice. Hilarious.

Brock remains the best. Everything he does is amazing. It’s a shame Roman vs. Brock is happening on a weird non-canon blood money show because there’s magic in them facing off with this new dynamic. Smiley babyface Brock who still murders everyone has the potential to be the greatest babyface in forever. I wonder if they’ll eventually do the double turn? You can hear the crowd are ready to cheer Roman. It must be tempting for them to finally get what they’ve always wanted.

I hope they do the right thing and let Xavier Woods win King of the Ring. Not only is he always talking about how much he loves it, but he’d be one of the few people who I think could make the gimmick work no matter what.

Kevin Owens is a man who’s handed his notice in, isn’t he? Real Dean-Ambrose-at-the-end energy. He’ll probably lose to Nia Jax within weeks. January is going to be wild when he jumps.

The most heelish thing Seth did in Edge’s home was live the fridge door open for far too long. Disgusting. Nice to see Beth cares so much about Smackdown and her husband that she decides to do the Friday Big Shop during it. Edge also reacting like Michael Myers was in the house and not someone Beth Phoenix could have probably taken out herself shows me why Edge never got above direct to dvd films. Ouch.

Other then Brock being amazing and having the scariest wink in the world, everything else was very meh.

You can always rely on a Draft episode… Kofi is now three wins ahead after an eight man tag that looks remarkably similar to an eight man tag that happened a year ago.

Losing Bianca and getting Charlotte is the most upsetting thing.

They'll probably draft Charlotte back on Monday.

I don't follow sports so no idea how drafts work there but why do WWE announce the people who are staying on the same brand? Surely just announce the ones who move and obviously those who don't get mentioned stay where they are.

Why did Rhea/Nikki get drafted? Aren't the women's tag belts defended across both shows?

Anyway, I'm glad Reigns and E are staying where they are and presumably will face off at Survivor Series.

I could see them switching the US and IC titles. Has Nakamura ever been on Raw?

The WWE draft is nothing like a normal US sports draft where the talent pool is college players and each team picks a player, generally its the team with the worst record in the previous season who picks 1st and then the next worst etc until the championship winner picks last and then 2nd round its back to the worst team again to go 1st

Drafts back in the original brand split where just random picks of wrestlers so then there was no need to draft everyone but now they announce every pick as every superstar is in the pool available for selection (well half were available on Smackdown with the other half available on Monday) so everyone will get picked its just that some will get picked by the same brand they are already on.

Thats why Charlotte cant be drafted back to Raw as she wont be in the Pool to be taken (well they could find a way around it and trade but its probably more likely Becky goes to Raw and they do a crappy belt swap like they did last year with the tag titles)

Rhea and Nikki were drafted as when they lose the belts they would still need a brand to be on.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the US and IC titles switch either but with Apollo on Raw now i'd fear heading towards more Apollo v Nakamura matches within a couple of months.

Though I think your right that he has never been a Raw guy as yet.

But has there actually been a reason given for why she's so shitty towards Naomi? I can't think of one.

She came in demanding matches and just being rude to an authority figure. No real history I’m aware of. Just crap writing.

Her "fued" with Liv Morgan was worse. Just kept blatantly excluding her from MITB. They built Morgan as a deserving entrant who was constantly screwed getting in whilst Deville's heel mates (who they never really showed being matey on the show) getting in without having to qualify.

Then she just gave it to her right at the end anyway. With zero follow up since :S

It's not even that difficult. Just show her being bessie mates with the heels and look down at the plucky underdogs. Hell with a little bit of long term booking you could turn this into a half decent Survivor Series match. Deville's Mates vs Deville's Enemies.
