Merzbow
The chips almost look like they're from the Chinese and that's not bad thing imo.
Mr_Danger
Deep fried frozen chips? You can all get to fuck!
Paid Members Thunderplex Posted September 25, 2021 Paid Members Share Posted September 25, 2021 American fish and chips are basically goujons and fries.  Fine if that’s what you fancy, but not what we do.  Proper chippy chips don’t exist over there.  Gordon Ramsey has just opened a “chippy” in Orlando, bu5 it’s juts goujons and fries, which deeply upended my friend who lives there, as he thought a Glaswegian would do it right. Paid Members Thunderplex Posted September 25, 2021 Paid Members Share Posted September 25, 2021 Brown sauce is poured over everything from a chippy in Edinburgh.  It’s let down with vinegar till runny.
Paid Members SpiritOfTheForest Posted September 25, 2021 Paid Members Share Posted September 25, 2021 Edinburgh are wrong 'uns though. Salt and vinegar is the way to go. West knows best.

Paid Members Chris B Posted September 26, 2021 Paid Members Share Posted September 26, 2021 You know you're supposed to add water to gravy, right?
DavidB6937
There is no universe in existence where that is gravy.
Mr_Danger
If you have to spread it on with a knife it ain’t gravy.
WyattSheepMask
I had gravy like that from the Chinese once. I say once because I’ve never had it since because it sure as hell wasn’t  gravy and neither is that.
Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted September 26, 2021 Paid Members Share Posted September 26, 2021 I’m getting concerned that northerners on here also get gravy wrong. It’s not supposed to be brown water you know. Nor should a spoon be able to stand up in in it. It poured, sitting over the chips,  managing to keep them crisp, with some moistness rather then turning into some beefy broth. I’ll send a video next time if you want to criticise fucking Gravy of all things.  So that’s gravy, the name of rolls, and the meal times of the day you all can’t get right?
