Since MITB and movie matches seem to be generally accepted by fans and if WWE are going to completely disregard any form of sense making, why not go full 100% fictional?

What I mean is have aliens and other supernatural shit. Imagine, they could have a match on the moon, or Vince could invent time travel and we could have a match in the stone age or the future with lazers and shit. We could have Brock Lesnar fight a dragon, wouldn't that be sweet?

Come halloween why not have a haunted house match where wrestlers wrestle through the old Benoit home while being spooked by the ghosts of dead wrestlers. It can be like some teen horror movie.

I was thinking about this the other day. With WWE starting to be creative (out of necessity) with the presentation of matches, what will happen when restrictions are eased and WWE are allowed to go back to having fans at shows. Will WWE continue presenting shows and matches in creative ways like this? Or will it just back to “business as normal” as soon as possible?

They could maybe have stuff start in the ring then go backstage into a pre-recorded piece or vice-versa start in he Pre-record and finish in the ring like the Hollywood Backlot or the Boiler Room Brawl or even that Cena/JBL Street Fight, but if I went to a live show and ended up watching the main event fully on the big telly I’d be pretty annoyed. I saw Kraftwerk a couple of years ago who arn’t exactly renowned for their crowd involvement, but at least they were there performing

Triple H said that he doesn't think things will ever get back to normal, and that maybe we should consider that some of what's happening now might become the norm.

But it won't. The moment they can run shows as normal again, they will. We might get the odd cinematic match to close Wrestlemania or something, but even then, do they want a stadium full of people craning their necks to watch a Boneyard Match on the big screen?

Who was the last WWE wrestler who had a signature match they specialised in or any kind of gimmick match they were associated with? I can think of anyone over the past few years who I would think is the best at HIAC. Hardy is the best at Ladder matches and Kofi does best in Rumbles (although he can’t win them.) Who is the guy best at hardcore matches?
The switch to yearly events rather than using matches when needed is probably to blame, but it’s something I think is missing from the current roster.

Well, Tommy Dreamer won the last one they did, which was over ten years ago.

Yeah and he was a hardcore guy. I used the word hardcore because while Foley was a hardcore guy, that covered stuff like No DQ and I quit marches too. Hardcore seemed like a broader term. If you want me to be specific who’s the current wrestler who is known for doing extreme rules matches?
