For another sauce recco, I recently used for a barbeque Sainsbury's New York-Style Buffalo Marinade - despite the name, it's perfectly good as a sauce, and it's delicious. In fact mayonnaise is grim in general. It's the devil's spunk. I think years of going out with people who douse all manner of food in it has right put me off it.
