Any Indian take away will have masala chips. They are like a Spicer version of Cajun fries. Usually a tomato based sauce, infused with onions, spices, ginger and garlic, that the chips/fries are coated in.

Even if they don't have them on the menu. Your local Indian can make them using the base for their various curries.

The real daddy are the garlic chips. The ones I had in the little takeaway at MP Shah hospital in Nairobi were out of this world.

Fish pakora, chicken wings, chicken tikka and seekh kebab with a side of masala chips. All washed down with a Newky Brown. Banging.

What have you drizzled? At first glance I thought I was looking at salad cream, which would make you a psychopath.

@air_raid It's a sauce the pub makes themselves. Very similar to mint yoghurt sauce but not quite as strong. I added some chilli sauce later too just to give it a little more kick.

Good stuff. I got introduced to Linghams chilli sauce by the girl the other day - ingredients red chilli, sugar, salt, vinegar - and we had some burgers on Saturday so I mixed it with mayo to make sweet chilli mayo. Somehow in her eyes this made me a genius. Burger, bacon, fried onions, chilli mayo on the bottom bun, Reds Carolina mustard sauce on the top, brioche buns. I was very happy. She ruined hers with salad.

Had a Morrison's salad bowl for lunch (don't panic) and they have a Potato and Chickpea dahl that's pretty much chip shop curry sauce with some veg in it. Needs someone to micronuke a portion and stick it in a butty.

The only Dahl is Roald. Or Julian Holloway as he's Sophie's dad and is ace in everything he's been on. It's not a food.
