I unapologetically enjoy David Hasselhoff's schlock 80's albums and the sometimes used credits theme for Baywatch, 'Current of Love' is a corker.

The song “Hot Shot City” is particularly good.

Just remembered The Rock did a movie of it! Can't remember anything about it whatsoever.

Also so weird that they're doing a reboot next year. Can't see that going anywhere.

Alexandra Daddario was in it....that was enough for me to watch it!

Csnt remember anything particularly significant,.but it certainly didn't have the chemistry that the series had.

The person on the cover of the How Soon Is Now single is Seán Barratt, who played the Father Fitzgerald, the priest with the boring voice from the Christmas Special of Father Ted

TIL to actually read the strength (9) of the Nescafé instant coffee I purchased as it was on offer, I'm fairly caffeine sensitive so normally I get a 4 or 5 strength, I now feel like I'm going to have a heart attack yet feel like running a marathon when I actually can't walk much anymore

A good TIL for you is that the strength rating has no bearing on the caffeine level, and is just to do with the sort of beans used and the flavour they have! You've also learned that the placebo affect works on you too.

If you eat too many wine gums you get totally wasted though. That is real.

Remember when you were a kid and you'd eat those absolutely rank chocolate liquers your parents had, could you get pissed off them?

I mean you'd throw up before that stage because they were so awful, but I always wondered.

I love chocolate liqueurs, if they're good quality ones. Bailey's/Irish cream ones in particular.

There used to be a stall at Chapel Street Market in Angel that sold these ratchet chocolate liqueurs that were basically filled with vodka or 151 or something equally flammable. Very cheap, and the chocolate was surprisingly good. Good enough to keep a sugar-addict like me eating them and getting drunk in the process, quicker than expected.

My late Grandad always had a bowl full of wine gums on the little table next to his armchair in the living room, so if true that explains a lot.

When I worked in Woolworths as a 17 year old every week you'd get teenagers coming in buying these up, clearly hoping to get pissed up on them. Never had the heart to tell them they'll likely just end up feeling a bit sick from eating loads of shitty chocolate.

I did have to remove my mask to show the store assistant I was actually old enough to buy some Bailey's chocolates during the pandemic. Still don't think it's as egregious as having to wait for someone to approve my purchase of a bottle of sugar free Lucozade though.

I wish I still looked young enough to get ID'd for anything. The last time I was asked for ID in a pub it was the Adam and Eve in Lincoln. I was 26 and I had been drinking in that pub pretty regularly for 10 years.
