We took my mum for an impromptu lunch today in Harwich and sat on a table next to Rick Wakeman, who had turned up in his Sunday best of breakfast-stained T-shirt and joggers that were covered in more dog hair than you’d find on three dogs that were overdue a trip to the groomers.

I could have also added to this the people that look like they smell thread.

Not one of my own, but I'm sure this picture of nifty fifties binman Mark Lamarr (presumably on his way to some record bins) in West London a couple of weeks ago will be of interest to some.

Does he buy his footwear from the back of the Sunday supplement? He’s looks one step away from having a walk-in bath.

There was a video of a bloke last year, who looked like a fat Mark Lamarr at a record fair, taking records out, playing them on his little player and just putting them back. Bad etiquette as you'd imagine with rare LPs to just take them out and have your grubby hands all over them. And everyone who seen it was like "LOL this fat cunt looks like Mark Lamarr!"

Now I think it might have been!

Whatever happened to Mark Lamarr.  Can’t remember any bad stuff about him going down.

Wasn't he done for some kind of kidnapping/unlawful imprisonment? I think it was something like that that got him canned from Buzzcocks.

EDIT: Not quite it seems. He was charged, but not convicted, and it was years after he left - was in 2018.

I think there have been/were rumblings of some not-too-great behaviour in the past, but nothing too severe.

The main thing is that, at a certain point, he decided he didn't really want to be famous/working as a television presenter and sacked it off in favour of listening to records all day and then presenting his God's Jukebox show on Radio 2. He's not seen out and about much these days and is typically referred to as 'reclusive comedian' or suchlike.

That was in 2018, long after he'd withdrawn from public view. The charges were dropped the day before he was due to appear in court and the police issued a formal apology iirc.

Dominic Cooper in the café on the corner from us shooting something for upcoming ITV drama series Adultery. Apparently Romola Garai is also in it but no sign of her :(

Earlier, I went into the local Waterstones to browse and maybe pick up a book but it was totally rammed as there was a book signing, it was Tom Fletcher (one of the guys from McFly and a celebrity author apparently).

I should have joined the line just to ask him "What is Chris Pine like?"

He does kids books, my youngest son loves them, his favourite is 'There's a monster in my book'. They are actually lovely books, I don't know if he does books for grown ups too

My little one loves the 'Dinosaur who pooped....' series. They are quite funny and makes 4-7yr olds crack up but keeps them interested in reading so plus point all round.
