Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted December 19, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted December 19, 2012 (edited) The Observer update tonight says the WrestleMania card has been drastically shuffled in the last few days. The only match still definite to go ahead is Lesnar vs Triple H. So Cena vs Rock II could be off (unless they change their minds again). Â Whoever WWE sees as the next "man" in the future, we could be seeing it at WrestleMania. What could it possibly be? You have to think Rock is definitely in the main event and they wont do a rematch of Punk vs Rock at WrestleMania. So what could it be? Ryback vs The Rock? Sheamus vs The Rock? Undertaker vs The Rock? Cena vs Rock vs Punk? And if so, does that mean it'll be Undertaker vs Ryback? Surely Rock and Cena have to be opposite each other in some form. Unless they are going to build the Shield up huge and have Cena, Ryback and Undertaker wrestle the three of them. Â Or it could all go back to normal, but it does seem odd if they are reshuffling the card. And apparently they are reshuffling the card because the were so pleased with TLC and Raw this week, so its not them kicking off and pulling people. They might actually put some people over this year, like when they made Batista and Cena. Edited December 19, 2012 by IANdrewDiceClay
AshC
I'd never considered it before, but Sheamus and The Rock could have a belter
AshC
Minus the top-rope powerbombs, I'd imagine! Â Yes. How ironic that in that match Candido was the recipient of the Blond Bombshell. Â And they did it again on the 1996 King of the Ring pre-show, amazingly!
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted December 19, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted December 19, 2012 They need to fire everything they've got behind Ryback (and appear to be doing so). With a few tweaks, he's the sort of bloke that can appeal to every key demographic. Â If they're playing the long game, Cena v Ryback will be massive. Probably helps facilitate that eagerly anticipated and oft debated Cena heel turn too. Â Sheamus' character, sadly, needs promo time, which Sheamus is rubbish at. Who knows though, maybe it'll click one day.
Paid Members Up Chuck Posted December 19, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted December 19, 2012 They don't need to properly turn Cena for a match with Ryback. Just have him heel it up a little bit here and there. Talk him down in the go-home promo, maybe nick that thing from Punk/Joe 3 in ROH where Joe got desperate and put his feet on the ropes. Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted December 19, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted December 19, 2012 It really depends how well they do with Ryback (or whoever). Pointless arseing about with the Cena character if Ryback turns out to be another CM Punk-type 'draw'.

Loki
They're going to have to open a museum at some point with all that. It's amazing that they just stuff everything into one huge warehouse. How do they find something if they need it again?
bigfoote
Was there not talk a couple of years ago about a permanent Hall of Fame building at Titan Towers, seems perfect to do this and add a museum onto the side. Would be easier now, now that Vince has chucked some notes at the Panda brigade so no need to censor everything with a WWF logo on it. Also - I really fucking want that promo painting from Mania V
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted December 19, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted December 19, 2012 (edited) They dont want wrestling fans anywhere near Titan Towers to the best of my knowledge. You'd get all the collectors and people dressed as Mankind and all sorts if you opened WWE HQ up to the likes who turn up at conventions. Wrestling fans have been known to threaten to bomb the place if you fire a diva they want over. Imagine Vince having his Subway, and a bloke in a Santino shirt walks in asking if he'd sign KENTA. Also - I really fucking want that promo painting from Mania V From a few news bits that went around fairly recently actually, I believe they are looking to have a physical location for the hall of fame in Florida, as well as a secondary WWE office. According to the rumors, Triple H is handling the negotiations with the state of Florida, who themselves are trying to barter in some sort of Wrestlemania related deal. IIRC, the state would like 'Mania to be held there twice in every 10 years. Â I don't think I've ever heard of it being an extension or relatively close to the actual office, and I think that is still the idea.

What do you reckon Vince has from Subway? I reckon a foot-long Meatball Marinara. I certainly wouldn't want that interrupted by a wrestling fan.  The WWF Head Office would be a weird place for a HOF anyway really. It's in a bland old area full of corporate buildings and I can't image Connecticut is a huge tourist area. They'd be much better off having it near other tourist attractions and popular holiday destinations, otherwise it would rely on only those fans dedicated enough to travel somewhere just for that, rather than catching more casual fans who happen to be in the area for other reasons.  It's a shame that Casino idea they tried out years back never came to anything in Vegas. A Casino/Restaurant/Venue/Hall of Fame would have been a great place to visit. They could have had NXT there, ran the HOF ceremony every year and even used it for smaller PPVs. Maybe I'm just swayed by how cool I thought the Nitro Grill was? "I'll have the Booker T-Bone, please".
