Paid Members Linus Posted October 10, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 10, 2014 Why would anyone buy those fake Lego things? Why???
neil is brill
Some of us may have children who want something different than standard action figures. Â Some of us may be collectors. Â Some of us don't complain at everything WWE do.
Guest
I like them
Paid Members PunkStep Posted October 10, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 10, 2014 Good lord, they look superb! I can't believe how vast their new range is. Seriously impressed with those. The playsets like the Wyatt swamp house are ace, and I love the fact they have legends there too. Interesting to see The Ascension there. Â I hope these take off over here, well get these for my kids.
Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted October 10, 2014 Moderators Share Posted October 10, 2014 Never gave a shit about Lego, don't collect toys; want all of those right now.
RIDDUM_N_STYLE
If they bring the blind bags over here, I'll be all over that shit even if they will likely cost £2-2.50 a pop like the Lego ones do
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted October 10, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) All that fake Lego stuff looks like it would be super fun for kids to play with, far more so than big cumbersome action figures, but a lot of the figures' faces look pretty shitty. Like weird South Park characters. Â I notice the packaging says 'works with major brands'. I'm surprised that Lego don't have copyrights preventing this sort of thing, but it's great news if your kids already have tonnes of Lego bricks. King Pitcos
The faces remind me a bit of the WCW wrestling buddies, although they're not really like them: Â I think it's just the weirdness of translating a 3D face onto a 2D head. They're like little caricatures (of someone who doesn't look much like the wrestler) but they're all pretty instantly recognisable, which is good for a little two-inch figurine. Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted October 10, 2014 Awards Moderator Share Posted October 10, 2014 I'm surprised at the variety in the range. From the Shield to the Megapowers?
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted October 10, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 10, 2014 Yeah, it's mad to see the Legion Of Doom still being sold to kids in 2014. Their figures are the best though!
Paid Members Statto Posted October 10, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 10, 2014 Surely they've missed a trick by not giving Barrett a scissor-lift lectern?
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted October 10, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 10, 2014 They've put Triple H in the Cesaro box!
King Pitcos
Quite a few of the figures in the boxes are placeholders -- the Macho Man/Hogan box has Cena and Sandow figures in the box, and there's a Miz figure in there somewhere in place of Roman Reigns or Bray Wyatt or someone. It will have been just because they only had one prototype of the figure itself and it was out on display. Some of them have cardboard cutouts in the box in place of the figure, some of them just have another figure to fill the space.
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted October 11, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 11, 2014 They are absolutely awesome. Seems to be a shitload though. Like the pilot has gone well so they're throwing out fuckloads of them. Â I don't give a shit about the bricks (I hate fake lego) but I really want the figures!
