Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted February 5, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2017 Does anyone know if there are any wrestling promotions that run shows in and around Puerto Vallarta? I'm going there in June and would love to catch a show and can't really take a 12 hour drive to Mexico City.
Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted February 13, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 13, 2017 Lucha Underground is apparently coming to Netflix this spring. Not sure what territories, though: https://www.facebook.com/LuchaUnderground/posts/1552418581449994  Hope it’ll be available in the UK library. Been waiting for ages to watch this! Mr.E
Maybe more for the Question thread, but presumed Lucha Fan's may know more: Â What are former big Lucha names and WCW mainstays Psicosis, Juvi, La Parka (and the rest) up to these days? I did see Juvi back in Triple A a few years back, but haven't kept up with him.
Paid Members Linus Posted February 23, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 23, 2017 Psicosis (under the name Nicho, because AAA trademarked Psicosis) is working The Crash, which is being booked by Konnan. He did have a cup of coffee in AAA as part of a hardcore type stable but wasn't used much beyond one angle. Â Juvi does indy work, in Mexico & the US, but not too much. He also occasionally tours here, based with Lucha Britannia in London, and fancies himself as a DJ. Â La Parka is L.A.Park (because AAA, yup, trademarked La Parka) who will occasionally pop up in AAA until he gets asked to lose, but mostly does Mexican indies. He had a really violent match with Rush last year in Elite, which got both in trouble with the commission.

You would think they'd be made men after wcw.

Mexico would rather forget the way their luchadors were treated in WCW - masks lost in appalling angles, tequila bottles used to switch titles, genuine legends used as cannon fodder...  The real made men in Mexico are the ones who were famous during the 90s boom, plus Caristico (the former Sin Cara). ultimo the great
It's been a year of deaths in Lucha this year and today Gran Apache passed away. First saw him in Toryumon back in 2001, always fun, just one of those guys that got it and always seemed to be having fun. RIP
