During one of the many, many times Marvel nearly went bankrupt they would sell off anything they could ( they were a comic company so would throw out licences to anyone that would have them. Marvel then self financed the first film themselves and made one of the most successful indepedent films of all time. They are now trying to get all their rights back. the contracts are insane though. The best example is the Fantastic Four licence. There has never been a successful FF film but they keep making them, because if they don't, they lose the licence. Aside from it being good fun, there are a couple of really beautiful scenes in that film that you can tell were made specifically for 3D audiences. There was talks of Netflix or Amazon throwing money at a sequel because it, apparently, found some popularity on the streaming platforms. Seemed no-one knew it wasn't going to be released except the studio. We had to leave quickly as it was late and we were hungry and wanted to grab food before the resteraunt closed. We saw the midcredit scene, was there one right at the end of the credits too?
