Guys, real niche question this - relying on this place a lot lately, but does anyone have any experience of producing, commissioning, or being involved with the making a documentary at all?

I think our journey to start a woman's American Football team could be an interesting story (there's lots of difference facets to that), and was thinking about trying to tout it around and see if anyone was interested in picking it up, but I haven't the foggiest where to start - being just a bloke, I can't see the BBC or Ch4 talking to me for example.

If anyone has any experience in this area, be very keen to talk to you.

Cheers.

No experience myself but just a thought,

Have you thought about getting the ball rolling with a Kickstarer/Patreon? If you get some sort of a budget in place and then shop around to people it could entice them to become involved rather than going with an idea and have them feel that have to be the main investors

You need to go to a Production Company and get them on board. The broadcasters themselves rarely produce these things, just buy them.

This is probably one for the film thread, but can anyone answer me this. In Ghostbusters II, at the end when Vigo goes back into the painting, why did he turn into a right ugly cunt with devil horns? In he went back into the painting, wouldnt he just look how he looked originally? Always drove me mental, that.

It was probably a Dorian Gray kind of deal. The original painting showed how he saw himself. After the Ghostbusters gave him a drubbing, he appeared as his true, blackened, soulless self.

Or they just thought they needed a proper scary monster face for the big finale.

People talking down to me always gets a rise from me. Three people at work don't want me there, one of which does it all the time as he's a bit of a twat. Does any one have any advice to prevent an emotional response from me, as one day he's liable to need to remove my bic biro from his nostril.

He will be in a month or so, but he's always been the same.

Too be honest I've always just stood up and stated my case to people like that in the past, regardless of position, but that wouldn't be looked at well here.

My working tax credits renewal form has a different amount in the "income for 2015/16 that your employer told us about" than my p60 has. I'm filling in my tax credits renewal tomorrow. Which amount do I go with?

To keep it honest and above board use the P60 amount. If they've overpaid you they might adjust your payments so you get less this year but that's preferable to committing benefit fraud.

Haha sorry... Ok, when you uploaded your designs it asks you for relevant tags so they show up when people do a related search. How many tags have you got? You should have around 8-10 at least for each design.

Have you ever used Google Analytics? Each Redbubble account has an embedded code that you can put into Google Analytics so you can see all the data attached. For example, you can see where the majority of your traffic comes from. If, for example, it's coming from Twitter then you know that's a good place to start promoting your other items. If it's Facebook, ditto. It's a good way of seeing behind the scenes for what's working and what's not on your site.

Ah... I've been tagging them with attractive decoy (and without the space), and then relevant stuff like sexploitation/horror/vintage porn, etc. The more random ones, like just text stuff, is harder to pinpoint.

Thanks for that advice — I'd heard of google analytics, and I've set it up on my redbubble. Looking forward to some results!

I suppose this is the best place to ask:

In the late 80's into the very early 90's there was an ITV show shown after midnight on a Saturday night.

It was music and popular culture based and had a bit on it called (I am 99% sure) Night Time Radio. This had a reaily memorable intro of a beautiful white owl swooping towards the camera. During the last episode of the show the Night Time Radio bit ended with the owl flying towards the screen then a shot ringing out with the owl falling backwards as if it had been shot.

I have tried Googling combinations of "ITV", "Night Time Radio" and "Owl" but have had no luck.

Any chance anyone remembers the name of the show.

Not sure how to post the embedded video link, but you're not thinking of The Late Late show intro from that time?

I want to do something worthwhile with my life. I think I'm having a bit of an early mid life crisis. Does anyone know anything about: Starting a podcast; a music label; bringing over bands to tour or promoting shows?

The latter is what I really want to do, loads of my favourite bands are unknown/never toured here, or bands that have long since dissolved and cult fans want to see them over here for first time in ages. Any advice would be awesome. I really want to do something more than just work.
