If "the spreadsheet" didn't recognise it, then no one else should either.

I can't do this again mate. It's fun and games until I go off the deep end...again.

I'd love to tell you everything will be fine, and you are actually spending money to be a top team now.

But you are Spurs. And you are still starting Richarlison.

Football is back! Spurs are still shit!

Spurs have made all these signings. But all their captains are injured. Season hasn't even started yet. So 5th captain. Archie Gray gets the armband. Gray and Bergvall back in the squad after being left out at the back end of last season. When they started winning matches to stay up. Bergvall at fault for the 2nd goal and got pulled at half time. He needs to go.

They have the same problem as last season, no creativity, no attacking threat. I don't think Spurs actually watched Richarlison in the last season for Everton. He was crap for 3/4s of it and then scored a few pens at the back end to boost his goals for the season. £60m put down for him. Now he's out of contract, at the end of this season, lucky if someone would pay £10m for him now.

Sangare looks like some player for Brentford. Helped Lens finish 2nd in Ligue 1 last season, hopefully he keeps up the performances. Surprised no other teams weren't in for him.

Actually this was a positive. Youngest captain in a competitive game for us, and to captain the club at 20 is remarkable.

He's not a RB though and was as poor as the rest, but still an amazing achievement.

And yeah, I love my big beautiful socialist son Richarlison, but time is time.

Brentford were incredible, just bullied Spurs all over the pitch and should've put a few more away.

No one should expect a team that finished 17th twice in a row, with THAT front line and so many new signings to bed in straight away, and with a whole new defence, but christ it was bad.

Going twice in the next week, that's mental illness baby!!!

Edit: @Rossman Spurs do have the option for another year on Richarlison contract so there is a slight protection, but yes he has to go.

Has anybody heard from Rick or should we give him a few days to recover?

Its a trophy that we are eligible to win, if we lost it and won the other four, I'd hear we didn't win them all, now we still can. It's worthless, though I admit, like the league cup

The League Cup is a major honour. The Community Shield is not.

I don't count either of them as a major honour.

It's doesn't really matter what you consider them as, it matters what they are. One is a prestigious domestic trophy and the other is a friendly.

First opening day win for 5 years and bar a few scares in the first half, we looked really comfortable for it

Tyrique George is going to prove to be one of the most popular signings the club has made in years, proper get off your seat type player which makes it so baffling that he didn’t get more chances to play back end of last season

Harrison Armstrong looks like he’s going to have a breakthrough year, 19 years old but plays like he’s far older

You and anybody else can class it in anyway you want, the League Cup isn't a major trophy to me.

Then you shouldn't be counting it in your little trophy count up there, then.

As I already said, we are in 5 competitions, 5 trophies come with them if you win and I want all 5. Not every trophy is a major trophy. I don't have to class it as a major trophy, just because we win it.

The Premier League didn’t count as a major trophy to me last season.
