Happened in the Boro match last night. Took the new lad Lankshear off in the 89th or whatever it was, took 20 seconds so they had to defend a few corners with 10 men while the sub stood at the side like a spare part. 
Either us or Wrexham lost a throw in because of the new 5 second rule too.

Happened in the West Ham game today, the player didn't look like he knew the rule, and had to be hurried off. Saw a clip of Lankshear after the game saying he didn't know about it and Hellberg replying "don't say that, I'll get in shit" 😆

He'll do really well this season, he's a top lad, strong and a really good finisher. I don't know if he'll ever make it at the very top level, but Spurs were smart enough to put in a matching bid and sell on clause just in case.

Can see him bagging 20 goals in a good side.

There is something very funny about Romero reportedly trying to not only leave Spurs but engineer a move to Arsenal. Never happening in a million years for a myriad of reasons, not least because the Spurs board are presumably aware of how it would be received. Would be hilarious though.

Oh 100%. As I say there's a significant number of reasons why it's a non starter, but the concept cracked me up.

First time Hibs have beaten McInnes away. Can't help but see downgrades in their team, the new keeper looks poor, and they lost their main attacking threats at right back with Tavernier and Moore on the wing. 

 

Kasper Hogh looks deadly. Been a while since Celtic handed out a thumping. Hearts did too, they needed that, Thursday is a write off but the league cup is on the weekend and they need to be aiming for that.

Hogh (who my brain keeps calling cock and I can't do otherwise) has been a find and a half. Good finisher, seems driven, obviously sees us as a career step but I'll allow it if he plays like that every week. 

Rangers doing Rangers things. Bet McInnes is still hoping for the Scotland job at this rate.

Surprised there weren’t bigger teams in for Hogh after he knocked a couple past City last season. Similarly named ex team mate Hauge is still at Bodo/Glimt too, he’d be a cracking buy for Celtic. Still can’t believe Knutsen hasn’t been cherry picked.

Apparently he gets a cut from the transfers. Ajax tried to get him a couple of years ago and he wouldn't budge. Get the impression he knows he's got a stable gig and it's not worth moving for. 

I think people weren't in for Hogh because quite a few have left Bodo and not done well and often quite badly. Hauge left and struggled at Milan, Frankfurt (won a EL mind) and Gent so went back. Berg struggled at Lens, back. Moumbagna struggled at Marseille. Mvuka struggled at Celtic. Solbakken at Roma and the list goes on.

Jose Mourinho reveals in his Netflix documentary that he agreed to succeed Sir Alex at Man United. Fergie pops up and confirms.

Interesting (well to me anyway) to think what Jose could have done if he didn't change his mind and go back to Chelsea.

I really think the cracks for Jose started to show when he wasn't just able to buy everyone he wanted. Even with Inter Milan his first season there they spent around £40 million without any player sale money coming in and only managed to turn it around when his original tactics failed and he accepted that. Following season he broke even because of selling pretty much Zlatan and then he went off to Madrid to be in a 2/3 horse race for years after. 

There's no denying what he did at Porto was incredible at the time, but there didn't feel as substantial a gap as there was years later between the quality of those leagues until billionaires started getting more involved. In reality I think he would have had as much success as Moyes did when he went to United with maybe a few bigger names jumping over, but I think it ends the same way his eventual United reign does, where he wants to be the most important person in the room and most well known, even if that means alienating a mega star or two.

Well yes but when you've spent £150 million or so over those two years and completely replaced most your squad it's kinda hard not to Championship Manager your team into the top 3 or 4.
