Members SuperBacon Posted July 1 Author Members Posted July 1 Loving players being sent off for covering their mouths, the absolute pussies. Hope that's a rule that is implemented everywhere. Quote
NeverYield Posted July 1 Posted July 1 DR Congo to sit deep tonight, attempt counters when they can, try and smother Englands work and drag us into deep waters and a pentalty shootout, oh can you imagine the horror 🤣We should put this one to bed early but I can see penalites in our future if we're not careful and can't break these down in the same way Ghana gave us hell. Mexico though... Tough one that for us Quote
TibBo Posted July 1 Posted July 1 If Street Fighter has taught me nothing else, the trick to beating a low block is to trap your opponent in the corner with E.Honda and spam the hundred hand slap? The closest we have got is E.Konsa, but I believe the same rules should still apply? Quote

He's record against big teams is terrible. The squad itself has quality. Have a back four of Ake, Van Dijk, Dumfries & Van De Ven. Gravenberch, Reijnders, De Jong in midfield. These players control games. They had 30% possession against Morocco. Morocco controlled the game and had far superior shots. And their goal was a loose ball, that Gakpo got on the end of. It's all down to Koeman. Started brightly in his first stint as Netherlands manager, then faded. Somehow got the Barca job. Failed badly then they gave him another shot at Netherlands, which again underwhelmed. Really been living off over performing with Southampton & Everton. Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted July 1 Paid Members Posted July 1 England made hard work of that. Mpasi won’t have a better game. Really felt for Congo. Brilliant performance. Tuanzebe was a rock that first half. Saka should’ve come on straight away in the second half for Madueke. Djed Spence was absolute shite. Might’ve been worth chucking Chalobah on because that was a dreadful performance. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted July 1 Author Members Posted July 1 Just the 71 goals this year then. There are no new ways to describe how incredible Kane is. Please come back to me one day mate. Quote

In third strike you could press medium punch and medium kick for a universal overhead attack that couldn't be blocked low. Sean Dyche and Sam Alexdyce found them particularly useful. Anyway, if they're having to battle like that to wins against "lesser teams" like Dr Congo, I dread to think how they'll do against, say, México at the Azteca. Although that free flowing Latin American style may be one better suited to England's whatever it is they do. Edited July 1 by Jazzy G Quote
Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted July 1 Paid Members Posted July 1 Dunno how England got through that. We are so, so shit. I'm beyond sick of this team playing fucking depressing sideways-passing crab football time and time again. Take someone on you pricks! Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted July 1 Paid Members Posted July 1 At half-time I texted @Frankie Crisp and asked him if it was too early to text @SuperBacon and ask him where I could get a DR Congo shirt so I jinxed it Quote
Moderators neil Posted July 1 Moderators Posted July 1 Felt like Dr. Congo played England a treat, same approach as Ghana, take advantage of the shoddy defense on a counter attack and then low block to hold on. I thought England eventually did better and got more into it in terms of play making, but that first 25ish minutes they had nothing going and felt like they were just going to settle for slow paced passing back and forth. I reckon it'll be a shoot out against Mexico. I'm going 3-2 for Mexico. Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Based on that fucking display there’s a very fucking real chance it being fucking half time and we’re fucking 2-0 down to the fucking Mexicans Quote
