It was like the Rocky of football matches. That equaliser from Cape Verde was an astounding bit of business. Nah, the Ghana v Colombia game afterwards was a stinker. Ghana opened up and tried to play football but were useless. They didn't have a shot on target all game. Took another hand of god to get Argentina over the line. Heroic performance from Cape Verde. It seems all heroes do have capes. Quote

Members SuperBacon Posted July 4 Author Members Posted July 4 World class shithousery from Mbappe. Absolutely world class. Paraguay were just terrible, and the ref even worse. Proves France can win really ugly games as well. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted July 4 Paid Members Posted July 4 I know some people love that shit that Paraguay trotted out but it was absolutely embarassing and terrible to watch. And then they're crying at the end because France gave some back to them. Fuck off home. Quote
Rossman Posted July 5 Posted July 5 (edited) Referee weaker than piss wet lettuce. Didn't stamp down on their dirtiness, so Paraguay just continued. Paraguay :0 shots on target. 0 yellow cards. Some of Paraguay's "dark arts" Standing next to the referee whilst scuffing up the penalty spot. Running past Mbappe and thumping him on the arm. Cacares not liking getting outmuscled by Mbappe so kicks him in the shin. Beckham got sent off for less, nearly 30 years ago. Upamecano getting elbowed in the stomach. Referee even said no to the penalty before VAR rightfully overturned it. From the foul to the penalty scored it was 5 minutes. Then when they started losing. It got even worse. Rabiot got completely wiped out after passing the ball. Then Cacares fouled Mbappe. Referee was that stupid / bent he focused on the Mbappe foul which was a niggly one. Rabiot foul was a straight yellow card. Paraguay try a counter attack. To stop Kounde giving chase, Galarza just thumps him in the chest. Mbappe was near the Paraguay goalkeeper when the final whistle blew. The keeper put his hand out for a shake, Mbappe just walked past him celebrating. So the keeper threw the ball at Mbappe. TibBo Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I mean, it was working to an extent… They wanted to make it ugly, frustrate France, get to penalties and try to fluke a win. It was their only chance really. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted July 5 Author Members Posted July 5 Was all very much handbags though, nothing that bad happened. Joe Hart was nearly in tears after. Come on mate, go and watch a Copa Libertadores game and then compare. France gave as good as they got, which is the way it should be. I was really impressed with how France handled it all. Quote
NeverYield Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Mbappe just laughing at the end, as if to say "you tried everything and still couldln't touch us" was brilliant 🤣 Quote
TibBo Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Yeah, if you were playing with your mates down the park and any of that happened you wouldn’t be rolling around on the floor like you had been shot. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted July 5 Author Members Posted July 5 I mean we all know FIFA is corrupt, but Balogun having his red card rescinded when FIFA said that cannot happen, and he's free to play against Belgium, feels like another level of corruption altogether. Quote

Not rescinded, suspended for a year but you ate correct, still corruption. Quote
Mr_Danger Posted July 5 Posted July 5 It’s about time all these national teams fucked those cunts off. Embarrassing, if not extremely funny. Quote
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Its so obvious what has gone on and its hardly a surprise that the Trump administration are all over it....cunts Quote
