I've no issue with thinking it's a soft call. It's laughable that this is the one call that's caused punishment for the VAR ref in a Chelsea game though. There's been some insane, not even debatable calls that went against Chelsea that faced no consequences or got discouraged, one of them (as if we didn't know already) was Mike Dean admitting to knowingly making a bogus call. You can't then go punishing a referee for interpreting a stamp on a Chelsea player's foot to be a foul. It's a ridiculous shift in the bar for accountability.

I'll be honest, I've never been as down on him as others. Great businessman, done amazingly well with the stadium and all that, but absolutely should've left the football side of the club years ago.

It's easy to look at it in football terms and say it looks crazy but there's been a clear falling out all summer with Edu taking over as Sporting Director and Nuno complaining publically about the transfers. You can get away with that stuff if you're Brendan Rodgers managing Celtic but Marinakis isn't a man who is taking that shit from anyone.

I like Ange. Be good to see him back. No idea how it will go. Couple of years ago almost everyone thought Steve Cooper's sacking was harsh and questioned the appointment of Nuno after his Spurs and Saudi spells had been a disaster. There's a massive amount of luck and circumstance in appointing managers. Forest have some really good players. If they all buy in to the way Ange plays and work as hard as it demands, they'll do pretty well. If they can't be fucked to run another 5km a game and defend on the half way line, they'll half-arse it and wait until he's sacked at Christmas.
