Great bit of business for Millwall today. Japhet Tanganga sold to Sheffield United for nearly 10 million with add ons when there was a release clause in his contract for 1.2 million if a Premier League club came in for him. We were definitely going to lose him but considering we got him from Spurs for nothing we've maximised the return.

I’m such a geek for stuff like this but this youtube channel has started doing season documentaries for clubs, and the attention to detail is astounding.

USA 94 got me into football so the following season was my first proper one, and such a rollercoaster one in Spurs’ history.

But its even reenacting the old Sky Sports, BBC MOTD and Champions League graphics that’s topped it for me. Amazing.

There’s also one for Man Utd in 1994/95, around the time they were only losing to York City rather than Grimsby.

Spurs fans inevitably moaning about this because "Daniel Levy" but a players value is what they're valued to you. At the time Japhet wasn't valued for any monetary worth so he went for free. Its simple.

Good player, but I'd say Championship is his level.

Amazing. 1995/96...I had that Pony shirt and everyone took the piss out of me in school.

Transfers in:

Clive Wilson QPR Free transfer

Chris Armstrong Crystal Palace £4,500,000

Ruel Fox Newcastle United £4,200,000

Andy Sinton  Sheffield Wednesday £1,500,000

Hardly a stellar summer of transfer business.

Genuinely amazed that after the absolute messes involving transfers this summer, Spurs have managed to pull off Xavi Simons.

Feels like a real statement signing.

Great signing on paper. Been waiting for him to really smash it at the top level for a while now. Could be great in this Spurs team.

Think the transfer stuff has been overblown. Forest threatening to get the lawyers involved feels like a bullet dodged. Eze was always going to Arsenal. I can't believe they got as close to him as they did. Palhinha is a top signing. Kudus is a hell of a player if he does it consistently. Danso and Tel aren't brilliant but solid enough to have around. Plenty of good young signings, as usual, Spurs are great at that. As always, think its all OTT because its Levy.

Oh definitely. I'll be honest, they sounded like messes (and to a certain extent were) but realistically on both it just weren't going to happen.

Chuffed with this one though.

Simons is a great signing. Spurs have done good business.

Quite why Chelsea want Garnacho is a total mystery to me, the guy hasn't got it.

Palace signing Yeremy Pina is potentially the signing of the window, even more so for the price.

Fernandes to West Ham is a really good one too. Exactly who they needed.

Another striker (Lookman? 35m seems well worth it) and a CB, and maybe another midfielder and I'll be incredibly happy.

Annoying. He was the only good thing about the occasional trips to St Mary's we make.

Could be a great signing for Spurs, he's looked brilliant in flashes so it's just a question of maintaining that week in week out. Could be a great bit of business if he does.

Equally I'm very much enjoying the hilarious backpeddling of some Spurs fans "Simons is better than Eze anyway, we never really wanted him, actually Eze is 30 and past it" (he's 27) that's all over Twitter.  A fan base perpetually unable to just be happy.

I don't think Eze will do amazingly but I don't think Arsenal need him to be. He's a good option to have and if he keeps up his Palace form he'll be a really good signing.

Yeah I'm glad we signed him, good option to have and he offers something different going forward when we need to try and unpick a defence, which Arsenal have been lacking in some games.

Also he seems like a good lad who really wanted this move, so I'm happy for him in that regard too.
