Let's hold off for now, it is only City after all, we always beat them When Pape Sarr signed for Spurs, I saw him play for Senegal and told a mate that I reckon he'd never start 10 games for us. What an idiot. That boy is unreal. Quote

Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted August 27, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 27, 2025 We’re so shit lol. From looking actually decent against Arsenal to losing to League 2 Grimsby on pens after being 2-0 down. Get Almiron gone. Take Onana with him. I’d actually put Tom Heaton in goal. Quote

Paid Members Nexus Posted August 27, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 27, 2025 Also, a 76m striker being 10th choice to take a penalty is very, very funny. Quote

I’ve made a point of having Napoli as my other since last season and enjoying a team play well and not be so disappointed when they lose. Quote

Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted August 27, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 27, 2025 Hard to know what's funnier - this or the Rangers score. Quote
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted August 27, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 27, 2025 Unlucky for Grimsby, they've drawn a club in bigger turmoil than United. Millwall are away at Palace. That's all police leave cancelled that night. Quote

Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted August 28, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 28, 2025 I saw about half the Arsenal game and thought that Amorim might now have something with this team. Saw some bits of the Fulham match and thought the same. But as soon as he makes changes, it all goes to shit. Because the squad is still awful. They haven't sold anyone because nobody's mad enough to pay good money for a winger dining out on a goal against Everton and another winger with no pace and one trick and another winger who just looks like he wants to retire already. They will do better this season but I think it will still be largely awful. And I've already seen enough of how they're playing to Sesko, or not, to retract what I said about Sesko scoring more than Gyokeres. Meanwhile the Liverpool match was amazing. Never seen league champions with a 2-0 and one player advantage somehow get completely outplayed and look so utterly incompetent defensively. Funny ending though, because it is Newcasoil and also because I hate Dan Burn, but they can't possibly win the league again with a defence like that. I'll be watching every game though because it's brilliant viewing. Quote

Hard to take the result as a Newcastle fan, but the lads who managed to stay on the pitch all showed incredible spirit and you really couldn't fault the effort (or Howe's tactics). If we had Isak, or any decent, proper centre forward, we could well have taken six points from six. As it is, it feels like we're already fighting an uphill battle and Leeds on Saturday is a must-win. Good luck, Will Osula. Also...why the Dan Burn hate?! Edited August 28, 2025 by SaitoRyo Quote
