Often he can't see or there's some law that is applied that the pundits don't care to research and you can explain why something is the case even if you wouldn't call it yourself. I just think that is such a low point. The fella produces a great bit of skill and accidentally stands on the foot of someone who appeared behind him trying to tackle him. To call that a foul in any circumstance is diabolical. To chalk off a goal because that happened earlier is even worse. And then for multiple top level referees to look at it on video several times and get it so wrong because they are fucking robots these days is horrific. He has definite upsides and probably quite a few of them but these were the right clubs at the wrong time. Quote

Would make a mess of prime Pep. It doesn't look likely to change under Toilet Jim's stewardship either. I'm less convinced about Amorim than most of the others we've had, but I'm still fairly sure he could leave United and go on to do well at any other club. In that weird time, there was a glimpse of what he was trying to achieve, and it would have been amazing if he'd pulled it off, but he was trying to make caviar with fish paste. Quote

Maybe a better long-term signing than Martinez would have been but I think Martinez would have been the choice for a team that needs character more than it needs quality. He's still a good goalie but he's a bigger shithouse and he'd have the mindset to cope with the pressure playing for United brings. Maybe it was hard to do, I dunno, but given how awful Villa have been in the market, I'm not convinced. Quote

I haven't seen much of Lammens but I think ideally they would have wanted him as back-up to someone with more experience, like Martinez. Martinez isn't flawless but United definitely need someone who commands a back line. I don't know if Lammens will do that. Personally I was hoping they'd be stuck with Onana and Bayindir all season dropping them in. Quote
